I got a pretty low log number and got the priority to get in first.. but don't give up so quickly..
These things are like filling out the form to win a new car at the malls. It won't happen if you don't try... I have a feeling people are going to start moving in by the third week of February through March.
Does anybody know if all of the floors are a go for occupancy?
No. half the building is reserved for the market... that's usually for the higher floors. I have a feeling MHANY has floors 2-19. Requesting a floor you want is a possibility though. I did that and it seemed to work.

I have a feeling move in dates will be a majority in end of February through March.
Not how the leasing system works. Affordable developments are required to disperse units equally throughout the building. You'll also note on 461dean.com that plenty of market-rate units are for lease on lower floors.

Not sure, but I did get a little nosy when I saw the paper the agent that has the job of viewing the apartment, a majority of the apartments were from those floors but I can be wrong. Plus I saw a couple local websites stating that as well. 19th and up are for market rent. But yes it's sporadically and randomly picked overall.
I've been wondering the same thing it doesn't seem like it. I've only seen one person with municipal preference say they've been called but they also had community board preference which is most likely the reason they were called. I'm getting a little worried about us people with only municipal preference. I keep getting the same answer "If you haven't heard anything that's a good thing" but its starting to make me wonder if that's actually true when you see people saying they are beginning to sign leases and move in. Plus finding out that people are still being interviewed leaves you kind of confused with this whole process.
Perfectly explains how I feel.... after getting notified in July, interviewed in August, twice appealed and then submitted new income paperwork in November that was supposed to be re-reviewed very quickly.... nothing. Yet despite other people signing leases. On the verge of calling 311 to see if there's anything the city can do to intervene, since MHANY seems unable to be transparent in their process.
