Which probably happened in phaha's case........ So I don't know, it's still a waiting game. This whole process is just unsettling .....
That's good news then! Crossing fingers for you

Hey, out of curiosity is the floor plan of the unit you are assigned to and were shown on the website? Mine was not so I was thrown off... the person that showed me mine did tell me that there were some floor plans not on the website but still.

I also checked to be notified by email. However, I think MHANY management do things their own way. From what I've been told, rejections are through the mail. If they need any other information from you, they will contact you. But at this point.....who knows

Why are people happy to get Affordable Housing, .,. you will waste 40+ years of sweat and hard earned money on RENTING that property will never will be yours ..its a good 5-10 year plan but not long term... getting a better job and buying a condo/co-op is best. where it will leave the money on property thats yours

Some of us don't grow roots. Some of us need a current place to live to raise family that is already here and established. And it's weird to think that because you have a co-op you "own it" :/ You own nothing. You're still paying insane taxes and fees. In the end it all evens out. Stop trying to scare people into thinking they HAVE to buy something. Also, who knows what happens in the future? 10 years from now NYC could be a big black hole in the ground. Everyone has their own reasons of renting versus buying.

and edit: you always NEED low and middle income people in a thriving metropolis. What would all the rich people do if none of us could live here or be even able to commute here?

So I saw the unit I was assigned to and it wasn't one of the floor plans listed on the website. The person who showed it also asked me if I could move in mid November... so when you are shown your unit definitely know that they expect you to move and sign a lease as soon as the city sends your official approval.

honestly what is your point in coming here and trying to make people feel a way about renting instead of owning. if you have nothing to do with 461 deans street then there is no reason for you to be in this forum....
