I wonder what that means for us who are just now interviewing.

When people have to drop out because they can't come up with a security deposit and first months rent? Probably a good shot being on the waiting list.

Or they already have slots for you if you are still being interviewed? There are MANY apartments there. Don't cry! Wishing you good luck, Denise. What kind of unit are do you qualify for? I bet the two bedrooms are the first to go. maybe that is why there is a delay.

Also there are like 3 more affordable buildings going up in that area, like NOW, still under construction, not up for lottery let, but that means thousands of more apartments. Don't give up any hope.

Well I was in the running for the 1br / the studios.
But the more I read the more I realize that those are already gone and out the window.

I was really hoping for a 1br but considering my current living situation.. I will take anything.

It can be a little crazy now knowing that they are showing apartments to some people. Beside you Aquarius and Vane no one else has received a call to see an apartment on here. I have a preference and I fit within the range looking at the 1 bedroom exclusively due to having a child. Mind you I haven't been rejected or anything so I don't know what to expect. If they call I know by the Grace of God I can get the money, but everything is timing. Around what date did you have your 1st interview and do you think I should send an email seeing if my file is ok?

BKFinest: I think people with children might be competing waaaaaaaaay more than single people. I feel BLESSED (i am serious) to have been possibly given this opportunity as a single person... Single low and moderate income people in this city without children don't get many breaks when it comes to stuff like this.

Denise: ugh yeah, so many of the lotteries ARE frustrating because of the income levels, but you have to realize that we have a big part of our city's work force that do not make enough money to even live in the damn city they work in! Private and Public.

You know something Aquarius, I am thinking that if the lower end 1 bedrooms are taken that possibly management may ask those who lost out on the lower end 1 bedroom if they would want the 2nd tier 1 bedroom which if my memory serves me right would by 1,500+. SMH I can see a scenario like that.

Yes, Aquarius you should feel very blessed. I mean just think about it you almost didnt go to the interview because of the pup thing. You are SOOOO lucky and blessed that everything worked out. Like they say anything can happen.

I'm going to try to remain hopeful, maybe I can win something too after all.
