Me too, but at a certain point I have to worry about my eligibility because this is taking so long. What if I move out of the community board? What if I get a new job? What if I get married? What if I have a baby? What if I die?

Really? Even if the building is perfect? A 1br might open up in a year after you moved into a studio and current tenants would get first dibs!
I'm living in a 1 br. For me to downgrade the studio would have to be huge. And looking at the floorplans, I don't think they are huge at all. They look tiny compared to the 1 bedrooms.
And that's unfortunately not how it works re if a 1 bedroom opened up. The original log is maintained, and people who don't get an apt during initial occupancy are placed on a waiting list. Not that I would expect anything to open up for a decade...

I'm not sure we can compare timelines with other lotteries. American Copper's lottery opened on August 12, and Freedom Place's opened on August 31. AC has been waiting a long time after viewing their apartments and getting HPD approval, but we've been waiting longer to get to the viewing and HPD stages than they did. According to the emails it seems we'll be waiting at least another month to get there. I'm hoping our process goes faster once they send us to HPD and viewings. Then maybe the overall length of wait will match up?
But American Copper has had a TCO for a while now.
Passed the inspection today. But I don't know what the inspection was for. Probably some things on the road to a permanent C/O, which I don't think we care about.
I still can't believe we won't be hearing anything until mid-august.
