Hi everyone, new to the thread. Log number is 38XX. I interviewed on March 6. Submitted all the required paper works. Checked Credit Karma yesterday and saw that my credit was pulled. Reached out to them this morning and no response. I have city preference. Pretty decent credit. When I interviewed, I peeped the sign in sheet and saw that there were people who were interviewing with log numbers in the 50,000s. I instantly thought that it was a fundraiser. My logic was if between March and June 50,000 people were interviewed and they collected $40 on average for the credit score (keep in mind also, that more than 2 per household equals an additional payment), that's $2,000,000. That should cover the salary for the people who interviewed the candidates. I am reaching I know but that's what came to my mind.
They made enough money to pay off the building lol
Or maybe it is a fundraising project for the unfinished parking lot.
Now that you mention the parking lot, do you guys think it will be an outdoor parking lot or an indoor one? I was looking at the zoning diagram that they submitted to the city and, I could be wrong but, it looked like it would be indoor. But if that's the case, what would that empty plot of land next to the building be for? Maybe a combination of indoor and outdoor? idk..
Not that it matters to me since I don't drive lol but its just a thought I was having
I interviewed in February. My credit was pulled April 14th. No further communication from Alvista. Did email them this past Thursday. Respond said. We are contacting people by log numbers, if no apartments are available by the time we get to your log number, your money order fee will be refunded. I have no preference, fall under the 120 AMI and have excellent credit. I have not received any email saying i have been wait listed. So it looks like if by the time they get to log 28×××× if a unit is available I will get a call, if no unit is available for me then the wait was for nothing.

Unfortunately, this is pretty much the case with other applicants as well.
They are not allowed to check credit and background if they can't be sure an apartment unit will be available for you if you pass both. In other words, if your credit and background checks come out clean, you should be given a unit if city approves your file. But it is not clear if this is being followed at Alvista.
Still waiting. I was contacted a few weeks ago with my credit/background check and someone from the developer about which units I qualify for and which one I would like to go with. I emailed promptly and still no response yet. Wondering if my info was sent to the city for approval yet. I have to wait and see. Praying I hear from them sooner than later. Waiting is not easy.. lol
