I wish they'd let us know what the time-line is for this project. Wonder what the floor plans are like too.
Got a reply from the management. They informed me that the building itself is almost completed/completed but are pending for approval from the city. There isn't a firm timeline at this time.

Wow. And then individual applicants who were credit checked need to get approval from the city as well. This is going to be one of the longest processes ever in NYC housing lottery history.

Welp, it will be a long process and the entire building is through housing lottery. See you guys around when the building gets occupied.
I just checked the Department of Buildings website and as of 6/20, they have gone from having 22 outstanding requirements to 6. None of them having anything to do with building construction. Just insurance checks and final verifications. So the building is done and only needs final city approval. Then HPD/HDC applicant approval.
Since this is a total housing lottery building, I’m thinking we’re in for a couple months of waiting. But it looks like this is the last stretch. I read a little of the marketing guidelines and it says they go in batches of 50. So, a batch gets approved through On-site then is sent to the city with preferences going first.
I also read that they are required to take AT LEAST 20X the number of available apartments in qualifying applications. 20 times the number of available apartments in each AMI. That’s 7580 qualifying applicants not including the people that go through the interview and don’t qualify. Lots of people to get though. *sigh* Probably why they were still interviewing.
Praying we all see each other in Queens in August....hopefully!!. Enjoy the summer!!

Interesting! But I think 20 times the available units is the total population selected for the interview. Simply because 7,580 is a large number. Initially, many won't income-qualify. After the interview, more than half of this number will be disqualified mainly due to credit score, large outstanding debt, and debt-to-income ratio check. Some will be disqualified due to background history. The surviving ones will then be sent to the city for approval. And again, the city will approve many and disapprove some.
Also, the 7,580 is a progessive target. Meaning, if they interview 5,000 and it looks reasonably believable that they will have enough to fill 379, they would stop interviewing. This is what happened in case of Alvista I think. Many May and June prescheduled interviews got canceled/rejected.

i got interviewed in march and still got wait listened and my log # is 10XXX
My base salary qualifies me for a few 120% studio/1bdrm but only 130% studio. However after my annual bonus/raise, I will also be qualified for the 130% 1bdrm - did anyone here make a case with their annual bonus to be calculated into annual income (regular basis)? During the interview - the on-site staffs didn't know but the NYC Housing Guidelines says overtime/bonus/commission are to be included.
Yup - I sent them the documents and updated employment verification and they said I qualify! Now we just gotta wait - my current lease ends in March 2019 so hopefully by then, the building will start moving people in. It's odd how people in 165% AMI got emailed asking what their preference was but didn't get a response after letting them know.
