My kid (1,3xx) was notified on 9/21. Submitted docs on 9/22.
Nothing since. Based on what I'm reading here, I don't expect my kid to get contacted for at least a few more weeks.
Presumably! I submitted my last round of docs...I'm hoping that's it but I cannot imagine what else they need...they literally know everything about us at this point LOL. I'm pretty sure we're ready for HPD review.
It's so weird to me that they make it up to such high log numbers. Do that many people really not want the units? As log 8xx I feel like it would make sense that they have a studio for me if they're already reaching out to people up to 18xx...? The system is so bizarre lol.
I picked a weekend and they were completely okay with it.
Hi again!
Did they let you know your file was sent to HPD beforehand? Or did you find out you were approved after you submit your last round of docs? How did you know it went off to final round of review?
Received request to submit documents for this log1xxx. I qualify for a 1-bedroom. Considering withdrawing as the 1 beds do not have in -unit washer/dryer.

I wouldn't withdraw without seeing or being assinged a unit first. I live fairly close and did a tour and saw 2 studios and a 1-bed and all 3 units had in-unit washer dryer. They were market rate units but you never know. Also there is laundry in the building with tons of machines so i wouldnt let that deter you if you were really excited about it. Best of luck!

They did not notify me, I only knew because I noticed they uploaded a file to the housing connect website.

I'm not sure how they go about reaching out to people, but my log is 1,3xx and I submitted my docs almost one month ago and haven't heard anything since. I wonder if they have a preference for those whose income is 130% AMI...My income is in the stated range (on 595's Housing Connect webpage) to qualify for studio; however my income is 90% AMI.
Can someone share - if you're rejected or passed over, do they notify you or is it that you just never hear from them again? Thanks in advance.

I can't say for certain, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. If you make within the income range and fall under the asset limit I think you're good and they just go case by case.
I did call and she said that she couldn't say exactly what log number they were up to but there are quite a few studios left as they're still processing and that I had been assigned to an eligibility specialist. She said it may just take some more time to hear back.

The AMI always refers to the maximum allowed income for a household, this is set by HUD. The buildings set their own lower income for each unit type, hence the brackets you see on HC. If your income falls within the income range listed for a building's units that say 130% AMI, you are 130% AMI for that building even if the range overlaps with another building's range for 90% AMI that you may also qualify for.
