^^^ That is a very nice location. Despite the 14th Street address, 455 is located inside the complex. This E line apartment faces west and overlooks the adult fitness playground, which is very quiet.

I didn't get the earlier one either, unfortunately. Glad there are apartments being posted again.

cskysky, have you had any luck on getting the lease break fee waived?

I just... I just don't know what to think of this "lottery".

So the 2021 lottery is still going. I've been on the 1BR waitlist for years now. (Was asked to submit documents back in 2022. Kind of annoyed about that now! Sensitive personal financial information thrown into a black hole!) We were all told back then that the supply of 1BR apartments was lower than expected, presumably because they were taking longer to renovate due to supply chain issues or something. We were all told to hang tight, that the 1BR list was running slower than normal but that the apartments would become available eventually.

And then after like a year of this, suddenly half the lottery staff was laid off? And then this "affordable" apartment hunger games system was put into place?

I see from this thread that people have gotten apartments with the 2021 lottery finish via this non-standard lottery, but of course these apartments are renting for like $500-$1000 more than they could have been rented for under the 2021 rules.

I just don't see how they have any incentive to rent apartments to people in the 2018 and 2021 lotteries, not when they might instead just throw them onto this website and make $1000 more each month. And yet as recently as last week, the lottery office told me that yes, the 2021 lottery is still running. Okay then...
