We eat them more in the winter, especially the sweet potatoes. In the summer we tend towards rice, beans, and couscous.

I really don't care what you eat, unless you've got your hand out for food stamps.

And I really don't care what you and your pauper husband eat, since you have to go to all these sales.........

Wow, talk about being broke and barely doing better than those seeking handouts. LOL

we were in philadelphia as tourists for the last few days.

we could not believe how little we spent eating. we were staying 2 blocks from chinatown . it was amazing the meals we had and they were like 18 bucks for 2.

one night we were not really hungry and got some hero's and fruit. i think we spent more on parking and admissions to the art museum then 3 days of food.

going out with the kids for lunch in a bit and that will be more then we spent on food in philidelphia. eating cheap is easy if you have the right places around you.

Of course when I have a business meal (which in my line of business is usually breakfast or lunch) we go wherever the customer wants to go. Frankly if you randomly came up and told me what you'd spent on breakfast, I'd think you were rather daft and move quickly away. It's not like it's a typical conversation item in a business meeting.

I don't HAVE to do it, I CHOOSE to do it. Like I said, I didn't become worth over $2M by spending thousands of dollars needlessly.

You seem to be very bitter. Maybe you are jealous.

I think its daft you somehow suggest its viable for three adults to live off $200 a month.

That's daft.

And if you're having breakfast or lunch with clients, then quite clearly you aren't living off $200 a month, so your budget is FALSE!

Where did I say three adults could live off $200 a month? Please link to that. I said ONE adult could live off $200 a month. Big, HUGE difference.

I generally have two business meals a month, sometimes three.

i prefer not to live frugally but i prefer to make my money grow by better investing and planning around what i do have.

never saw the need to live like a pauper to create wealth.

a penny saved is a penny earned but it is still just a penny. it is all about how you grow what you save that will make the real difference at the end..

it is compounding capital gains that turns the little bit we manage to save into real wealth.

I don't live like a pauper. A pauper wouldn't be eating lean meats or fresh produce.

I've obviously invested wisely. You don't get my net worth by saving pennies.
