Really? I wouldn't doubt it at all. Real ghetto people hate, hate, hate the Chinese.
It's certainly gotten better though. Up until maybe 15-20 years ago most of the Chinese kids in ghetto neighborhood schools had to deal with racial slurs every other day. Not sure if that stuff still occurs since they make a big deal about any type of name calling nowadays. I guess the pusher could be one of those kids all grown up now with some mental health issues.
Im hispanic grew up in the ghetto/bushwick projects in the 80's and hated/robbed,attacked asians/whites (for no reason other than its what we did in the hood). Now in my mid 30's my wife is korean and i cant stand hood rat pre teens/teenagers or people my age who never left that life behind, lol.
Doubt this is a race thing. It's about drugged up, mentally unstable homeless people all over the city. You can always be alert, but tough to fully protect yourself against such creatures.
I wouldn't rule it out if it was racial.
I'm surprised that this killer got away with his family and the strap hangers at the station. If my family member was pushed to the tracks I would be chasing this guy till my legs gave out and give him a good beat down before the cops came.

The shock/agony took over at that split of second which is long enough for the perp to run away.
If I were a bystander at the time, I would have run after the perp for sure
Dude was probably schizophrenic. Lots of mentally unwell people off their meds walking around freely in this city. Always be alert and on your guard. Do not approach train until it is well in the station.

It's possible but I can't imagine many Asians at this station. The demographics of this area is mostly blacks and hispanics.

So your saying racism is the more likely reason? I don't deny that their are ghetto Black people that hate Asians (they also hate upwardly mobile Blacks, and pretty much everyone who isn't a fellow ghetto person) but they don't go around pushing them into the train either. I just think it was bad happenstance for this man that he happened to be the one near the train tracks and near the schizo.
I wonder if ghetto animals are the loving type towards any humans?....
They often seem to have a particularly virulent hate for Chinese people.I think deep down it stems from a resentment at how quickly successful the Chinese are in work, business and education.Ghetto people and Chinese people are the antithesis of one another….polar opposites.

If you're at the station and 95% of the people on the platform are colored and 5% are Asians then I wouldn't conclude that this was a random act. I happen to live around this area before so I am familiar with the demographics in Kingsbridge.
