Norwood Boy, Above Average Bear:
It just breaks my heart watching before our very eyes the deterioration of this once great nation into third world status. Only to have Leftist propagandists extoll the virtues of unchecked immigration both illegal and legal. The reason they want this is because impoverished people are their key to power. Leftists believe that the government should have control over every aspect of our lives. What better way to do this than to get as many people dependent on government as possible it's the only method to enslave the masses. That's why they're claiming they want total equality, they want everyone to have the same standard of living regardless of your abilities. It's not fair everyone should share the same misery. The problem with that is then there will be no incentive for anyone to achieve anything. Who in their right mind would ever want to start a business only to have Leftists demonize them and have the government confiscate the fruits of their labor only to dole it out to those who will never get off of their dead asses to achieve anything. Then there's the problem of when everyone decides to jump on the cart and there's no one left to pull it. Socialism, Communism, Progressivism, whatever you want to call it has been an abject failure wherever it rears it's ugly head. Otherwise we would not have such an influx of illegal invaders entering the United States from countries where those policies are in practice. We must put a stop to this before it's too late not only for us but for generations to come. Thanks for your support!

It is the fault of conservatives we have immigration at these levels. Conservatives opposed unions and used every excuse on why coed should be allowed to hoard money. Businesses wanted cheap labor, and they got it. The consequences of this that it lead to major political shifts that are still ongoing. Meanwhile, I love directing needy immigrants and other poor people to social services and other free and low cost resources available.

Puleeeze... NYC was always about crime dating back to the turn of the 20th century when european immigrants flooded Manhattan and created enclaved boundaries and turf. That's how our neighborhoods came to be. If you lived in Manhattan like I did in the 70's and 80's, you'd know this fake age of commercialized order won't last forever.

The Valentines massacre in Chicago was considered at it's time hideous. One of the worst atrocities seen in the Windy City. 7 people were killed. This past weekend over 75 people shot and 17 killed in the Windy City.

XNY'er, Could you put some blame on a segment of the Republican party that want's cheap labor in order to break the unions? Also a large segment of Democrats who don't want any borders at all but also want to turn a state like Texas blue?

From my earlier post:
Quote:
If it will make you feel any better, yes I agree with you the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is paying off the Republican Party to provide as you said cheap labor to businesses and as far as I'm concerned have abandoned their real base.

Nothing is free you idiot! Somebody has to pay for it, as long as it's not you then it's okay. Right? How much of your own personal income have you given up to support those who are in need?

By the way blaming others is getting old.

I wasn't going to respond to you because it's obvious that you know little about the facts regarding immigration and the economy.

I'll just leave you with this:

"
Quote:
There are many ways to debate immigration, but when it comes to economics, there isn’t much of a debate at all. Nearly all economists, of all political persuasions, agree that immigrants — those here legally or not — benefit the overall economy. “That is not controversial,” Heidi Shierholz, an economist at the Economic Policy Institute, told me. Shierholz also said that “there is a consensus that, on average, the incomes of families in this country are increased by a small, but clearly positive amount, because of immigration.”
Quote:
"The benefit multiplies over the long haul. As the baby boomers retire, the post-boom generation’s burden to finance their retirement is greatly alleviated by undocumented immigrants. Stephen Goss, chief actuary for the Social Security Administration, told me that undocumented workers contribute about $15 billion a year to Social Security through payroll taxes. They only take out $1 billion (very few undocumented workers are eligible to receive benefits). Over the years, undocumented workers have contributed up to $300 billion, or nearly 10 percent, of the $2.7 trillion Social Security Trust Fund."

Quote:
"Economic activity produced by illegal immigrant spending employs about 5 percent of the total U.S. workforce, according to a study by UCLA. The research indicates illegal immigrants produce a total of $150 billion of economic activity each year. And billions of dollars from illegal worker paychecks flow into and support the Social Security system--some $7.2 billion in 2009 alone, that they will be unable to collect."
Why Immigration Reform May Happen This Year.

Ex New Yorker: I could not agree more with your post. I made a slight change to it, but other than that...it is spot on!

It just breaks my heart watching before our very eyes the deterioration of this once great nation into third world status. Only to have conservative propagandists extoll the virtues of unchecked corporate influence both illegal and legal. The reason they want this is because corporations are their key to power. Conservatives believe that corporations should have control over every aspect of our lives. What better way to do this than to get as many laws created by corporations as possible as it's the only method to enslave the masses. That's why they're claiming they want to be viewed as "people", they want everyone to have the same low standard of living regardless of your abilities. It's not fair everyone should share the same misery. The problem with that is then there will be no incentive for anyone to achieve anything. Who in their right mind would ever want to start a business only to have conservatives demonize them and have the corporations confiscate the fruits of their labor only to keep it for itself . Then there's the problem of when everyone decides to jump on the cart and there's no one left to pull it. Capitalism, free markets, or whatever you want to call it has been an abject failure wherever it rears it's ugly head. Otherwise we would not have such an influx of powerful corporations and wealthy oligarchs entering the United States from countries where those policies are in practice. We must put a stop to this before it's too late not only for us but for generations to come. Thanks for your support!

Found this a couple years ago and its disturbingly accurate:

‎5000 yearsago, Moses said, "Pick up your shovels, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land."

When Welfare was introduced,*Liberals*said, "Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a Camel, THIS is the Promised Land."*

Today, the government has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land to China.
