X2! Look at Detroit, teachers, cops, and fireman after fulfilling their end of the deal. They are now getting shortchanged on their pensions. What about all the problems SS is facing? Mexican birth rates are indeed higher in the US than in Mexico but not by a very significant margin. Central American birth rates are much higher than Mexican though.

Look, I'm not a fans of the republicans either, but doesn't anyone see what the Democrats do?
They cater to to those on govt. assistance (whites and non-whites) immigrants and other minorities, and they try to at least get a decent percentage of the Liberal white vote. Now, they want so badly to get illegal aliens to be able to vote. They are going to win a lot of govenrment positions in the future. Because people have realized they can vote themselves money and citizenship.
Now, as the demographic in the USA is changing, to a more hispanic/foreign citizens, you can expect them to be the ibe the dominant party soon.
I'm telling you, I really think the republicans days are numbered. Again, I am NO fan of either party Just my opinion from my observation.
The only reason I care, is because it seems like those who move to this country don't really seem to hold old traditional American values. And thats really sad to me.
Unfortunately, this country is quickly heading towards a reckoning. There are two distinctly different visions for America at play right now. Well, one for America and the other for AmeriKa. Hopefully bloodshed won't be required to sort this out, but I don't see how the ultra-left's path for this country doesn't eventually slam head on into the America some of us still want to live in.

Maybe if there were a severe labor shortage and a negative unemployment rate but there isn't, not now or in the foreseeable future. Poorly educated and impoverished people do not create jobs. Someone is going to have to feed, clothe, house, educate and take care of the medical needs of those who don't have jobs. The unemployment rate will skyrocket because of tens of millions of new job seekers who won't be able to get jobs simply because they are not available. Wages will plummet due to even stiffer job competition. The working poor will be effected even more. The people entering this country illegally are takers and not job creators otherwise they would be creating jobs in their own countries and there would be no need to enter the United States illegally. Oh that's right they come from failed socialist countries with abominable living conditions, where it's impossible to succeed. The same type of system and government that "progressives" wish to have here in the United States. By your logic the United States of America would be thriving if only we open our borders to all who wish to come here and force every citizen in the United States to support the entire world's indigent population.

If you're talking about the number of incidents of firearm shootings, those should be compared to total numbers of crimes (which have been decreasing). The more interesting statistic is the number of firearm shootings as a percentage of overall crime. I'd venture to guess that the percentage has been going up - that is, of all crimes & accidents, as many or more than before now involve some sort of firearm
