"Perception is reality." No - reality is reality. You can BELIEVE something all you like, but that doesn't make it true or real.
"In your wheelhouse." Come on. Think outside the box - LOL.
"No problem" instead of "You're welcome" or "My pleasure" or whatever. Especially from an employee who has been helping me, or a server or whatever. You're being paid to help me - it damn sure better not be a problem to you.
It bothers me when people say, "a light bulb went off" when describing when an idea, realization or epiphany happened. Shouldn't be, "a light bulb went on"? I mean, the light bulb goes off and you are in the dark. A light bulb goes on and you can see.
Another: This is not a phrase but, when someone uses the word "mortified" when they are horrified or upset about something. It seems like a lot of people don't seem to realize that "mortified" means to be extremely embarrassed or ashamed.

This reminds me of people saying “anxious” when they mean “eager”. As in, “ I’m anxious to try the new restaurant”.
Yeah I dislike "It is what it is" as well. Just seems like "I don't care to fix or address this"
Sometimes something or someone can't be fixed ... It is what it is and they are what they are.
