It's the whole fridge. We had a guy come out fri night and he said he had to replace a part and to turn the fridge off last night and he'd come over today. Of course we have called him this morning but haven't heard back.

I put all the freezer stuff in the fridge compartment packed with ice bags - so hopefully it will keep a bit longer, all the frozen meats and stuff. But all the perishables like yogurt and ice cream, eggs, and other stuff is a loss. Oh well. Such is life.

Maggie Moos - I'm going! See ya later!

I need to do back-to-school shopping today. Blech!

Fin - sometimes homeowners insurance will cover the loss. I hate waiting for repairmen, especially when they say they are coming between 8 and 5 .

Good morning, everyone!

Speaking of hair, I cut my own two days ago! I was tired of putting so much conditioner on it because that made it feel gross in this humid weather but it was getting tangled because it needed to be trimmed. One night, I just couldn't stand it and took the scissors to it in the bathroom. Never did that before in my life! But it worked out great! I parted it in the back and then trimmed the ends hanging in front, then I flipped my head over and trimmed the long layers, and then trimmed the long angle bangs that frame my face. I'm surprised it turned out so well!

Wow Hopes, that takes way more courage than I possess. The only time I've cut any hair was to trim up the necks of the various males around here.

I have done nothing this week, except read three complete books. Today I intend to clean out the refrigerator and the pantry. I might even start to cook some meals for the boys to take back to school to use up the various foods I bought strictly because they were home.

Shrimp and grits on the dinner menu.

What time should we be there?

Have you been to Roux on Canton in Roswell? They have the best shrimp and jalapeno grits I have had in ages.

I think we have a Maggie Moo's here, but I haven't been. Peachwave is our new favorite place. It's serve yourself yogurt and it's in walking distance.

I'm getting a hair cut tomorrow! I need it so bad! I have a lady who works out of her house, so it's pretty affordable.

That's handy. Are you going for a restyle or a complete change?

I have long curly hair, and so far not too grey, but I am always nervous that I'll be that woman with long gray curly hair who looks like a witch! I am not good about spending money on myself, so don't know how well I'd maintain a short do with color. Also my hair grows at an alarming rate, so color would have to be maintained regularly. I dunno..........

my hair is pretty straight and doesn't do a lot. I've had long layers for quite a while. I suppose I'll go with the same. I'm not coloring this time. I just need the dead ends gone!

rkb - How was the hair cut?

Hopes - Rock on, cutting your own hair! I'm impressed! I desperately need a cut, too, but my ability to cut in a straight line is severely impaired.

FR- Better Batter with Heath Bar and Fudge at Maggie Moo's - I am a happy girl!
