Athiests put up billboard just in time for Holiday season (extremist, claim)

The people who paid for the billboard were looking to target Christians to cause pain and grief, they were not simply expressing their views. They even chose to wait for the time of year with the most religious significance to Christians, before putting up their billboard.
Besides a negative political campaign ad, when have we seen other examples of a billboard like this? Have we seen billboards that are created with the express purpose of targeting a specific group of Americans and personally criticizing, demeaning or disparaging them? I can't think of one.
if people would just ignore this stuff...then they would lose and go away...they only do it because they can get a rise out of some people and CNN to give it press...not that too many people actually watch CNN..
I am an atheist. One of the perks of being an atheist is that it's generally a lot less trouble than being a traditional believer. There's no church to worry about. I don't have to listen to the Pope. There's never a reason to drop to my knees and bow in some predetermined direction. So I don't know why any atheist would take the time or trouble to put up a billboard. The hassle is in itself defeating one of the great positives of atheism.
As with all advertising, it is a revenue generator. They use the revenue just like any church does, to push their message, to get GOD out of peoples lives, as there can only be one ruler of the world. As opposed to the churches message of GOD in everyone's life as he is the ruler of the world.
Yet another "persecuted christians" thread. Why would anyone get upset over a billboard?! Are Christians the only group allowed to display a message? There's a Catholic church up the street from my house, it has a huge light up sign attatched to the church depicting a fetus(subtle, huh?). So, it's ok to have signs and billboards of this nature, or ones covered with biblical verses announcing who is hellbound but it's NOT ok for Athiests to put up a sign? How many "Athiest billboards" do you see versus Christian billboards?
If I were an athiest, I would simply skip the whole holiday instead. They could go on to work, save money and not be bothered by the whole Christian holiday at all. Same for Easter.
Since I am not an athiest, I'm going to enjoy my holiday with or without any billboards. Even though it makes me wonder why someone who doesn't believe in God would spend so much time and effort trying to convince everyone He doesn't exist.

I agree, enjoy your life, and if you do not go to church, the what is the big deal?
The non Christians all get to take advantage of the reduced price sales going on, and many of them get paid for that nice four day weekend at Christmas time, so unless you are an employer like Scrooge, who is upset at giving the time off, why all the fuss from the Christian hating atheists?
