can you cite a case where the supreme court federally mandated auto insurance.
Hint there is not one.
Car insurance is state mandated and is a right of the state. Car insurance has nerve been a federal mandate

New US jobless claims drop more than expected
(AFP) – 2 hours ago

WASHINGTON — New claims for US unemployment insurance fell more than expected last week after a sharp spike the week before, official data showed Thursday.
Initial jobless claims fell to 404,000 in the week ending January 15, a drop of 37,000 from the previous week, the Labor Department said.
The department revised downward the claims for the previous week, to 441,000, the highest number since mid-November. The initial estimate was 445,000.
The new reading was better than the average analyst estimate of 425,000 and in line with a downward trend in claims over the past five months.
"It's essentially returning us to where we were before the large increase last week," a Labor Department official told reporters.
The four-week moving average, which helps to smooth weekly volatility, fell by 4,000 to 411,750.

NOTE: Those are just INITIAL unemployment claims, meaning that those are only how many people signed up for the first time. It says nothing about those who are already on unemployment or simply gave up trying.

As long as government criminalizes unlicensed medical care, there is no "right to healthcare".
All healthcare is a government controlled privilege.

Of course, if you truly want universal health care, you need government to decriminalize it, and get out of the way.

But when does government ever surrender power (and/or tax revenues)?

No car insurance requirement in your state and kiss your federal highway money goodbye, pretty cut and dry. Now back to the topic, oh wait, this is just silly, never mind.

There is no such tie between State mandates on car insurance and Federal Highway Grants.....your dreaming again.

I notice you have backed-off your other false claims about how a Federal Mandate for HC is the same as a State Mandate for auto insurance.

That was ridiculous enough.

So please show us where it's stated that every State must have an auto insurance mandate or else they get no Federal highway funds.

What some states are doing is just more grandstanding so the politicians of those states can say to their Repub voters that they fought it. More waste of money and time, I keep waiting for the politicians to get to work on issues that are waiting on hold while this silliness runs its course.

Casper came in and said courts have declared car insurance constitutional. You responded to Casper by saying the Supreme court has always ruled the same way in similar cases.
Since Casper had discussed Car insurance and you claimed the SC has ruled it constitutional i asked you to cite that case.

I presume you can not

If it is a requirement that ALL in a State buy car insurance, then why is it that my Mom and one of my Sons don't have car insurance?

The Federal government isn't holding back on our highway funding...so how can this be???

The new Montana Legislature is trying to force the leftist governor and attorney general to join the suit as well.

The gov and att gen are both vested deeply in leftest politics and have a lot riding on keeping obama in power even though Montana is pretty much a Red state, all of the elected gov, atty gen, sec of state, state auditor, and office of public instruction as well as our 2 senators, ( including Goldman Max Baccus to our shame) are all dems.

However, in the last election the Republicans took majorities in both the House and Senate of the State Legislature, so things are a bit fractious in state government here at the moment.
