Well a few years back some people decided to impose a mandate upon parents that children must be educated. Do you advocate removing that mandate?

This mandate was imposed due to a perceived inequity between social classes.

Now the poor receive 250,000 dollars of government funded education and the majority drop out before finishing high school.

Instead of fixing the above problem, we could spend another million per kid giving them an ethnic or sexist studies degree which would be as worthless as their GEDs.

This experiment in free college for all has been tried. Look up CUNY sometime.

I would pay for it with the proceeds from my progressive income tax on the top 10%. If they object the rest of us outnumber them 10 to 1.

Well if you don't think that you benefit in the least from a well educated and civilized society move to Somalia, I here they don't educate their children.

There is nothing in the US Constitution that mentions public schools. When our country was founded there were no public schools. In my city, there are several private schools that long pre-date our public school system.

Most of the Constitution concerns Federal powers and rights, our courts have determined that primary education is a state rights issue.

Somalia has a great deal more problems than public education or lack of it.

This country was founded by civilized people who did not suffer a government-run public school system.

How did our Founding Fathers write without the government teaching them how?

If he didn't have Medicare, he'd be dead now. Who says socialized health care is a bad thing?

Uhhhhhh ... If there were a single-payer health plan, you wouldn't need to buy your own health insurance. Instead, you'd be paying for your health care with ... tax dollars!
I'd be paying for my health care and your health care and your husband's health care with my tax dollars. Was your husband a working, productive member of society before he became ill? If the answer is yes then I have no problem with my tax dollars going to fund Medicare to cover things like his case.

My private school teaches that there are homonyms, and that hear is distinct when written from the word here.

Are you a product of the public school system?

If so, you may wish to seek a partial rebate as they seem to have failed.
