As many as 17 million children nationwide are struggling with what is known as food insecurity. To put it another way, one in four children in the country is living without consistent access to enough nutritious food to live a healthy life, according to the study, "Map the Meal Child Food Insecurity 2011."
Those hungry children are everywhere, and with the uncertain economy, the numbers are only growing, experts say.
So which is it? Do we have an obesity epidemic among the young or are they under nourished? I wish you liberal do-gooders would get your sob stories straight.
Tea party should do nothing, but vote on representatives they find appealing. Yes, and there ae alot of other problems as well. Those with parents should rely on their parents to fend for them...those without should recieve help. However, help should b ein the form of a prioritized plan, without raising revenues and living within our means. Meaning there has to be prioritity to the program and taking money from another Govt program.
That is exactly what the tea party does.....back candidates and then hold their feet to the fire once they are in office. Same thing everyone else does.
You asked a nonsense question, and surprised you get drivel? Sorry me posting real life scenarios isnt drivel, unless of course you dont think I'm planning to feed my children. Is that what you are suggesting?
You posted a stupid question, its not my job to educate you on why its stupid.
Because its not the responsibility of government, nor the tea partiers, to feed the world.
I'm not a tea partier, but that doesnt mean I have to avoid your thread. I'm perfectly free to join it and laugh at it as anyone else who can join it and post their non stop hate.
After all your useless posting and patting yourself on the back. You could have replied like this!

To answer the OP's question......the Tea Party is not a political party with a platform. It is a loose confederation of people who want Washington to clean up its fiscal house and get the country back on a sound fiscal footing again......nothing more, nothing less. I know it's hard to liberals to understand that but, really, that's what it's all about.
What about the month after that?... Still no computer... Spend the rest of thier lives in serfdom I guess...
/sigh
Ok, let me explain the simple concept of savings to you.
You save money for next month, and you continue to save money for the next after that. You continue this savings so that you have a nice emergency fund to handle anything sudden that comes up. After that money is set aside (not to be touched unless there is an emergency), it is advisable to save up a 6 month block of savings of a yearly salary for situations like losing a job or similar.
Now, certainly, if the income is steady after the emergency expense is saved, it might be acceptable due to "reasonable use" of a computer to save up the cash and pick one up. It all depends on the family, their income, their situation and if it can be obtained without putting the family in financial risk.
If the family runs out and buys a computer liquidating their expenses and next month there is a layoff, or maybe a furlough or the like at their job, the savings can compensate without putting the family in a serious money situation to which a computer will likely be of no help to them.
It is about priority of what is a need, and what is a want.
Is this complex for you? Seems like common sense to me.

Uh... No... PC's are not all that expensive anymore... They're getting really cheap actually... It seems silly for a poor family to never get to own a computer...
