Personally I don't approve in bigotry in any shape or form.

I don't see LGBT people trying to deny or deprive Christians from getting married.

I have never heard of Christian kids in school being bullied.

I've heard of a lot of nasty names hurled at gay people: "f----t" and "d-ke" and "homo" and "*****" and "c--k s----r" and the like ...

... yet I don't even know if a pejorative for a Christian.

Because 80% of Americans are Christians.

It is called "Freedom of Speech". You might not like what someone says / is saying but, they have the right to say whatever they want.

Maybe 80% of Americans "identify" with some form of Christianity (this can include "Christians", Catholics, Mormons, JW's, ect...), but that doesn't mean they meet the biblical definition of a Christian.

Not that this really has anything to do with the thread at hand.

This is why I love being an independent, I can think whatever I want. I personally don't think being gay is a choice. I don't think being exposed to certain things is going to "make" someone gay. I don't think keeping gay people from getting married will stop them from being gay. If you want to call it something else besides "marriage", i.e. a civil union, whatever. Let them be able to file taxes together, get on the other's health plan, all the same rights. I personally have hung out and drank with a few different lesbians and they kicked ass, awesome to hang out with. Gay people on TV are freakin' hilarious. It's ok to me to be different.

In the good book , the Bible , it tells us what many politicians say , your lifestyle is a sin . That is how they " get away " with it .
The Old Testament, yes. For Christians, in the New Testament Jesus says nothing on the subject. I figure that if it was an eternally damning sin he might have mentioned it.

Look around on C-D for labels for Christians, that they believe in "fairy tales", a "sky daddy", that they're "dilusional", "mentally unstable", etc. It works both ways.

Oh, I get it.

It's okay for the 80% majority to persecute, bully and intimidate the rest of us who belong to the 20% non-Christian minority.
