I never because I just do not want to take a chance.
How could I live with myself if I was not doing my best to protect myself and others on the road?
Funny no one seems upset that we all have to have insurance.
Those men are idiots. They can just hit the answer button on the steering wheel, or press the command button (also located on the steering wheel) and say "Answer". If people weren't so lazy to sync their phones with their car....
The possibility of synching my cell phone with my cars is nil. I will very likely never own a car that new.
I fall on the side of placing criminal negligence charges on anyone where the distraction of a cell phone caused a wreck. I believe in the "you are responsible for what you do" not "responsible for what you might do" school. I do use a cell phone while driving and do not find it to be very distracting. If I have a passenger I generally hand the phone to them. I have tried texting while driving and find that to be very distracting. If I have to text in a car I will pull over and stop.
I think the NTSB is being a bunch of nannies with their panties in a twist. If they were really concerned with highway safety they would ban driving by the general public and force all of us to use public transport.

That's fine. And as a result, you should not be allowed to use a cell phone while driving. Maybe a device will come out that will allow you to answer without taking your hands off the wheel or looking off the road. Who knows.
99% of the time it is women yapping to their friends.
Yep, in 06 I was hit head on by a woman talking on the phone who crossed the center line. Was in a cabover box van. Glad I didnt have a seatbelt on as I was thrown into the passenger seat and her car came right thur the drivers seat.
I understand that, but it is an option for those who want to talk on the phone while driving. Most new cars have it as an option.
Yes, like I said earlier that IMO the law should include a clause which would allow that sort of device. After all, there are people who need to talk on the car phone because of their jobs. Think about real estate agents for example who are always in the car and practically always on the phone. The law would make it difficult for them to practice their profession, so there should be some kind of clause to allow a qualified device to be used, and a built-in car phone should qualify.
Did they forget to leave out the school buses with bad brakes?
This kid probably survived first impact, but two buses couldn't stop and rammed up
