But

You agreed with c'nut that the statement ""

is a ridiculous and false staement.

But then you go on to say """is not just a few radical extremist Republican's outside measure. It's been passed in the Georgia house, by a large margin"""

Add that to all the other anti-women bills and comments by Republicans and their representatives and if "hate " isn't a good word to use then "attacK' could easily be substituted.

And if a Republican openly comparing women to farm animals isn't enough to change your mind......????
I think it does a disservice to a very serious conversation to engage in that kind of mudslinging. It diverts the context away from the issue at hand an devalues the thread until it's just a bunch of name calling.

This issue (and the others you bring up) are too important to every person in the country to allow its open discussion to degenerate into an insult fest.

So, all of these pending bills are made-up by bloggers and actually have no chance of passing because they don't exist?

Thanks for letting us in on the secret. I'm sure a lot of us will sleep much better tonight.

I could say the same thing about the left. Why don't they call out the radicals on their side? As you said, "they do it to" or "the side is worse" is what the left says also. Pot, kettle, black!

These are no longer isolated incidents. These types of bills are being introduced all over the country. They are being passed by majority Republican legislatures and signed into law by Republican governors.
If this does not represent the will of the party, where are the protests from the Republican 'mainstream?'
I certainly understand not wanting to believe that one's party has been hijacked by a small percentage of very active, very vocal extremists, but, the fact remains that it has and based on the comments in this thread and others, there are far too many who choose to either pretend that this is not the case and/or blame the 'left' for manufacturing outrage as if there is no cause for women to be very concerned that their rights are being seriously abridged.
And claiming that the other side does something too does absolutely nothing to stop this current brand of insanity.

I wonder why so many men are obsessing over females' reproduction systems? What has frightened these guys into this level of irrationality? If they are so worried about women becoming pregnant they should get a vasectomy along with the Viagra.

It's not just men. At least a couple of these bills have been sponsored by and/or introduced by women. Republican women, but, women nonetheless.

Basically, they've gotten their marching orders from their puppet masters and they are simply doing what they've been paid (elected) to do.

LOL. Marching orders. Like drumming up the nonsense rhetoric that republicans want to ban contraceptives? You mean those marching orders? You folks are too far gone to even grasp reality anymore. No wonder morons on both sides of the aisle get re elected every year. They are right, most of the voting public are complete morons and they play you all like fiddles.

Now continue on with your rantings one and all.

If the "personhood" bills that have been introduced by REPUBLICANS are passed, that make use of the IUD a crime. And incidentally puts breast cancer survivors at a hige disadvantage since BC pills containing estrogen are contraindicated. The IUD is one of their few remaining options.

Tell me again how the Republicans are not trying to ban contraceptives?
