i have a mother and father and brother and sister and a close friend, who all would definitely NOT vote for Mitt Romney or MOST republicans and it's all because i'm gay. some of them used to vote republican at least half the time but now they never do if that republican is an anti gay republican in ANY WAY. they vote this way because of ME.

if you figure this in doesn't the gay vote actually go up to close to 30-40 percent of the population?

Look at Cheney. It's easy to be an arsehole...until it's your kid.

I know many gay people and many of them are against the gay marriage but just want the same rights! So your statement is based on non sense to me!

I think more people will care about the economy than gay marriage.

How can any gay person trust Obama on gay marriage? He is still advocating the state by state method - so he is saying it is out of his hands.....meanwhile Obama has literally been for gay marriage, then against gay marriage, then for gay marriage a 2nd time, then against gay marriage a 2nd time, then for gay marriage now for his 3rd time.....wow what a great leader!

Obama doesn't flip flop, he evolves - yeah right.

Exactly, the whole issue of gay marriage is one giant deflection from the rightwing to duck the question of what they are going to do to improve the economy and get jobs back to Americans. So far all i've heard is they are going to slash government departments and programs till the budget balances.
You really think some one who has lost his job or is unemployed gives a rats ass if some guy down the street wants to marry his boy friend?= a total non issue/tempest in a teapot propped up by the right.

And somehow, you don't have a clue how ridiculous you are.

Yet somehow, they think they got some kind of victory yesterday. I'm not sure how that works; I'm just glad I don't have their multicolored blinders on.

The Repubs are just trying to take advantage of a hot spot issue that a lot of simple minded people feel is a big deal.

That's fine.

If Obama wants to run around the country campaigning on gay marriage and the "war on women" while Romney campaigns on jobs and the economy, don't let me get in the way.
