If record high black unemployment isn't turning blacks against Obama there is no way his stance on gay marriage will hurt him (even if most blacks are against gay marrage).

It wouldn't surprise me.

It's funny of course how one race that's been discriminated against for centuries can have a strong prejudice for another group of minorities facing the same struggles they had to face.

You can say it a thousand times in your head, you aren't going to convince most AAs that they and gays have the same "struggles", sorry.

But this seems to bother white conservatives more than blacks. I wonder why that is... Could it be that faux outrage that right-wingers are so good at?

I don't see it that way. From what I can tell is that it's constantly the left gay community that constantly attempts to hinge onto the backs of the "black struggle." Honestly, I haven't heard right-wing conservatives say a thing about blacks and gays being even remotely on the same team.

The left showed it's true colors when Roseann Barr attempted to shame blacks on prop 8 in California.

Roseann Barr on blacks against prop 8 in California

Quote:
In a November 10 post to her blog, Barr scolded the 70 percent of California's blacks who voted for Prop 8 that they have conspired to "destroy" the Constitution and have made "a mockery" of marriage.:
They showed themselves every inch as bigoted and ignorant as their white christian right wing counterpartners who voted for mccain-palin and bush-cheney
Barr blamed "immoral and hateful pastors and clergy" for the results and preached her solution before calling for religious black voters to "repent":

When i suggested a couple of years ago that gay organizations should build official bridges with african american organizations, in order to build political consensus and not just represent a purely gay agenda, this very vote is what I was trying to speak to.
The gay community needs to do outreach to the black and latino christian and immigrant communities.

She is out of her fat arse mind. And of course to no ones surprise did any Democrats stand up and stick up for how black folks had a right to feel to as they did on this issue.

The bigoted left is like a haunted castle. We've all heard of it, but no one actually believe it exists.

I never said they did,

But YOU WOULD THINK, given what they experienced the past 3-4 centuries, blacks would be more open-minded to the gay community and support their fight against the institutional prejudices they face.

Instead, I give the people of my race too much credit. And the sad part is they only blindly reference the bible when someone asks them why they're against gay marriage.
