I think this is a good idea. Now people will see exactly the cost of Obama Care in terms of jobs and to their bottom line. If the costs are EXPOSED... only then will people begin to see the inherent problems with the legislation
I don't have a problem with it at all, if his product is good enough I wouldn't care why a business raises its prices. Of course I might stop patronizing a business for politicizing what they could have done long ago for their employees.
A fair days pay for a hard days work no longer apllies in the USA.
Years ago health would be a part of your salary but because the big Insurance companies have increased premiums for quite a number of years now, the employee is the loser.
Obamacare hasn't even been fully implemented yet but the Employers are wasting no time in using it as a excuse and blackmail gambit against their staff and customers........... they really are greedy azzholes.
But that's entirely the point. Businesses don't generally advertise why they are raising prices, they just do it. (There are some exceptions I've seen, like gas prices for example, to be fair).
This seems like nothing more than boo hoo whining - especially seeing as the only ones that are losing out here are his employees - and his customers, for whom he's charging a surcharge of 5% for the AFCA that he's not choosing to partake of.
Ah. I saw 'itemizing' in a different way. Sorry for the confusion, there.
As for not 'partaking', will he not be subject to fine (penalty, whatever)?
Not that I ever patronized liberal/Obama-hating establishments like Denny's, Papa John's, Applebee's, or Chick-Fil-A prior to all the controversy...but I certainly won't be starting now.
I prefer to do business with companies who treat their employees well, though that list seems to be getting smaller by the day.
That list seems to be getting smaller by the day because of Obama's policies.
Yup. I'm sure this West Palm business owner could afford to absorb the cost if he wanted too. Hope he prices himself right of of business.
Moreover, this restaurant's competitors have to pay for health insurance too. If they absorb that cost, they are at a price advantage.
Another note. It doesn't cost 5% of sales to provide health insurance. This guy is gouging. Cutting staff hours also makes customers wait longer and gives the restaurant a bad name.
