You did not get my point. I am aware of the visits the high court has had with the second amoundment That alone does not make it the final word or law as you may think. We are a Country of laws not a country of anarchecy . Try using that argument in NYC and see how far you will get.

Yes, we need to close loopholes on undisclosed gun purchases and background checks should be mandatory. These are my thoughts. I don't think we should ban any gun, except true assault weapons and not some trumped up version that the anti gun group wants to throw in there. That is what makes people nervous.
What happened in Conn. was a tragedy, no one would dispute that. I have lost a child at a young age, not through gun violence but, none the less, heartwrenching. I lost my exhusband through premeditated gun violence. He was using a gun to hunt with by age 8 years old but, he never carried a personal gun or raised a gun in violence against another human being. As a single parent raising three kids, I opted to not have a gun in the house while they were teenagers. Too much traffic in and out of the house, even though controlled and, sometimes too much frustrated anger and/or angst in the teen years. I now have guns in my house.
I do not believe the mother of the troubled teen ever thought this could happen. She paid for her mistake. She was/is not a monster. Many people stepped up and said she was a good and caring mother who happened to believe guns were important. Her child was not stupid, he was not insane, he was a troubled teen who needed more help than she could give. It was said that she was looking into committing him, he found the info on her computer, he killed her and took out his rage on the school children. She should have had those guns beyond his reach, in any circumstance and she will always be villified for it. Much will be attibuted to her that is untrue because we have idiots that refuse to search out the facts, can barely comprehend a written paragraph and only listen to the fearmongers on the likes of Cnn, MNBC, etc, etc. or the internet, that hung out in that town for days on end, rehashing the same sensationlist tidbits, over and over. The town had to finally ask them to "go away and leave us alone..."
There are lunatics and evil people out there from both sides of the spectrum and there is danger in every walk of life. We now have to pad playgrounds so that children do not hurt themselves if they do, by chance, get to play outside. That is the result of everybody and his uncle, suing at the slightest chance they get.
The thugs that committed the 9-11 atrocity didn't use guns, they used box cutters and planes. I agree, gun should not be allowed anywhere in an airport. If unobstrusive, armed security had been on those planes, there might have been a different outcome. Some dumb idiot with a gun in his carryon might have caused more harm, though in this case, they were going down anyway so, who knows.
It's a frightful world out there. I want to be reasonable about this thing but, I don't think you are being reasonable by your threats that if I or we, don't comply, there are ways to bend the majority to your will on gun control. You are the one stirring up ill will. I am sure you are a decent and caring person but, veiled threats is not the way to go.

I had friends who lost people in the Twin Towers.I remember where I was that tenable day , in an airplane hanger outside of Camden, Me.full of vintage aircraft with a group of 200 people when they announced the news , granted, it sure put a damper on our vacation. .We both drove back to NC. in my coach, planes were not flying and no one wanted to be on them anyway , including my wife.

Some here are saying,they are the Judge and the Jury. There is no contest, no comprise , no consideration for anything including the laws of the land, that there is only one law and that is one they have decided trumps all other laws. If you attempt to stop them , they will kill you. You , meaning any Governed official , or any citizen that violates this line of thinking by action. Am I correct here, or not? More info you were not specific on before., " parole" now along with Gay marriage, equal rights for women, lets see, did i leave anything out , am sure I did. What about the bad guys that DO serve their time ( most are let out early because of over crowding ) that go right back to the same environment they had in jail, violence, around their turf, violence. Soon, they will commit another crime and then go back to where we put them, on the tax dollars we pay. How is that helping ? We have more people in jails in America than any other first world country, somethings very wrong, it needs to be fixed !

Yup those x cons should get life and stay in prison for life. Any one who signs a parole board release shall be subject to the time if the x cons they released is convicted for any crimes again. so SHALL the entire parole board go do that time too.
