The extreme irony is that the people calling for a gun ban, a founding principle of liberty and freedom, are worried about "right wingers" overthrowing the government.

It sounds like they are the ones trying to overthrow the government. We are a government of the people. All of us. Not some of us. All of us.

Right after they ban guns they'll probably agree with you: lifetime term limits for their favorite dictator.

Guns will never be banned in our society. This is a capitalist system, and gun manufacturing, development, is huge business in the United States. We export guns, one of the few things we still manufacture here in the US.

An economic depression like no one can even imagine would occur if all gun sales, ammo sales, were halted. And crime would flourish, much like the days of prohibition. Which many think contributed to the depression.

The fact that you value your fun over tiny children being shredded in 2.5 minutes by "toys" speaks volumes.

Then why do you insist on spreading your weapons of death throughout the country so that first graders, movie goers and other innocent bystanders can be shot by wackos who you've taught to believe in guns as the solution to problems?

No sir, I've seen dozens of posts here on C-D threatening armed rebellion if WE THE PEOPLE decide we want fewer guns. Own it.

The numbers don't lie. There is less gun crime in Canada, England, Ausse Land, New Zealand than in the USA per capita. We are most connected with Canada as Hunting is a big sport, many many guns ( rifles) are used by US citizens on hunting trips up North. You must declare your weapon, it must not be in ready to shoot mode, no hand guns !
I had a close friend that always had a habit of stashing a hand gun in the glove box of several cars he owned ( vintage ) We were both trailer hauling our cars into Ca. for a tour to Alaska a few years ago. I told him, do not leave that hand gun in that 1941 Caddy, please ! Well he did, because we were traveling together as friends I too got in trouble for being associated with a person who lied about have a hand gun on board.Bottom line, he was fined close to 10,000 dollars if you count all the reservations at hotels, etc he had made for this 5 week trip. he was turned around, and was banned for ever from Ca. I paid a 500 dollar fine , given a 30 day visa and was allowed to travel on through to Alaska.... That was a strong lesson to be learned, he paid the price, I ,by traveling along behind in my own rig only got a slap, being banned for 5 years, and of coarse the fine. I still have that Visa framed and displayed on my office wall.

Where does it stop?
That just shows how little you know, modern sporting rifles are used for target shooting, competetion and hunting and not just for self protection, keep posting and showing your ignorance on the subject.

May I call BS on this? The gun industry does about 4 billion in sales which is tiny tiny compared to any other industry.
