Hi, gizmo, how are you?!

Diamonds, eh? Reminds me of a joke:

Mrs. A and Mrs. B run into each other for the first time in many years. Mrs. A says "How have you been? I understand your son went to law school!" Mrs. B replies "Yes, he became a very successful lawyer with an office on Park Avenue, a penthouse apartment overlooking Central Park, and - LOOK! - he gave me this gold ring with a 1 carat diamond in it!"

Then Mrs. B inquired "How are you ... didn't I hear your son turned out to be a homosexual?" To which Mrs. A retorted by saying "Yes, he is a proud gay man and a loving son. A brilliant musician who has played in Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center. He has a boyfriend who is a very successful lawyer with an office on Park Avenue and they share a penthouse apartment overlooking Central Park. In fact his boyfriend just gave him a four and a half carat diamond ring set in platinum!!!!"

There is no choice for "no anal." and if you say that, you will get weird looks at least or be called a self-loathing gay at worst. Anal sex is the defining sex act of gay couples like missionary is for straight couples. Anybody who denies this is either lying or doesn't go to gay bars.

None of this matters though. The people have spoken and most people are in favor of gay marriage. Soon there won't be a debate anymore and I look forward to that day when there might be less tension between liberals and conservatives. If you are against gay marriage you have the right to oppose it in your household and in your church, but as far as the civil government, the debate is all but settled.
It's fascinating how you anti-gays know so much about gay sexual practices. Do you frequent gay bars often? Anal sex is not the defining sex act. Many gay men only prefer oral sex. Others, even if they've had anal sex, don't do it often. I will also remind you, gay bars do not define all gay people. I've been to a gay bar twice in my entire life, and the only thing I like about them is the pop/broadway dance music.

I work with a guy right now who has been in a monogamous same-sex relationship for over 20 years. Him an his partner only have sex once or twice a year. I work with another gay guy who has been with his partner for 19 years. And I work with another gay guy who hasn't had anal sex in 3-4 years.

Try meeting some gay people outside of gay bars who don't fit the ridiculous stereotype. I could go to Mardi Gras or Spring Break and prove to you how insanely slutty all heterosexual people are. Would that be a fair assessment of how perverted and disgusting straights are?

Well, even a lot of anti-gay people don't mind lesbians, because they picture that hot porno kind. Gay men, however, they find gross, thus all gay issues are focused on gay men.

Chalk it up to patriarchal macho bravado and severe insecurity.

Well its been a long day and it looks like another issue has popped up concerning people and not being made to feel like outcasts...so, is this one about a jeweler who doesn't want to sell a diamond engagement ring to a gay person, like that cake ordeal a few months ago..? Shame on being so mean, heres a possible solution...( note I said possible

A cake maker and a jeweler is different then the streetcar guy. The streetcar guy and that sceneario is similar to forced participation in a parade. So I don't think society should rule against the owner in that instance.

A cake maker and a jeweler in many ways is engaging his or her creative skills and the product comes out from, individual abstract and imagined creations which, comply with the expectation of inspiration and use. So in one sense on behalf of the artist, there is an argument that the initiative or specialty to make a cake, or fashion a ring, is in attention to a traditional marriage, and there are no creative efforts available for non-traditional arrangements which can be included in the specialty within the unique shop.

Now the law says that no one can deny a customer based on personal beliefs and prejudice, discrimination and so on....

So all the cake maker, jeweler needs to do is impress on the cake or setting, TM. Then that is his product and he can sell it to anyone and not worry about his customer base siting and ascribing his product to something other then what they may have in mind for their personal choice....or his vocation to create these ornaments...Anyone can buy and do what they want. A jeweler may also choose to model GM cakes and rings, I think that would be a choice along with whoever purchase's....the root issue I think is that you cannot force a person's creative talents and an artist cannot deny a purchase....so this solves the problem at least for an opinion for now. Business goes forward, conscience free, and all the customers are happy. Now don't forget, society cannot force a sculpt with one or the other, that would infringe on the creative offer to society. But anything can be purchased. Things are bought all the time for varying reasons, each relationship would be a varying reason....I bought some nylons but I'm a guy for the dryer vent once, so there you go...how bad can things be.

I think they should of passed SSM right across the board but, have the document exactly itemized SSM very clearly and absolutely NO parades or discussion in schools...Leaders were very irresponsible here, washing their hands of a situation and go to vote...knowing full well it would divide people, cost money and put more emphasis on BS time wasted in society, no doubt about it....and the shows gotta go, Gay's on TV are bad for youth.... youngsters have enough on their plate without the confusion of todays contemporary adult and all these situations.

I think the biggest sin crying out to heaven is religious people using the Bible and God's name to hate and demonize other human beings.

Revelation is a metaphoric attack on the Roman Empire. Stop believing Milton and Dante.
