They should be listening to their constituents. Period. Blabby is now a lobbyist. I wonder if she has any clue what her constituents want. I guess it no longer matters since she now represents nobody but herself. Why wasn't she blabbing before she got shot?
This post is a disgrace to logic and human decency. Sometimes I wonder who got shot in the head.
Watching the Gabby Gifford testimony I thought of John Travolta pushing in his client in a wheel chair and wiping the drool from his chin in fained disgust in the movie A Civil Action. LOL You don't trot out people like Mrs. Gifford unless you are going for the sympathy ploy.
It seems Gabby Giffords really hit a raw nerve with the gun-fondlers here. I take their obvious discomfort as a good sign that Gabby is doing the right thing. Resorting to calling her names and dimissing her as just another lobbyist is beyond stupid... it's downright insane.
Special thanks goes to Dale, Roy, KuChief, Texan and others for providing a written record that gun freaks are out of touch with reality and gun control is badly needed.
It's coming.... oh yes.... stricter gun control is coming whether you like it or not, so get used to it, fools.
I'm going to adopt your term, "GUN FONDLERS." It's very descriptive and they deserve nothing less.
Concerning Gabby Giffords, it sure did hit a raw nerve. She might be a lobbyist, a sailor, a tailor, a lawyer, a beautician, or an indian chief, but she's a GUN INJURED lobbyist, sailor, tailor, lawyer, beautician, or indian chief, and *that* is what's driving them insane, that guns cause injuries, that guns cause death, that guns have turned our country into a hellhole of death, and they can't hide that.

Are you guys serious... like gun fanatics aren't driven by ''emotional reasons''?!!
Even before she was shot, her Republikaaner opponent held rallies where supporters could fire a full automatic M-16 at pictures of Gabby. Remember that her successor, Ron Barber took two bullets that day too. It's a state where the National Socialist are the Liberal Wing of the Party
I am disgusted by the Democrats use of children and Gabby Giffords in this ridiculous attempt to destroy the 2nd Amendment, in defiance of ALL evidence that the gun bans and more gun control laws only lead to MORE illegal guns in the hands of criminals and a defenseless public.
Sure, everyone feels bad that Gabby got shot in the head by a lunatic. But I'm sorry, and I can be a very empathetic person, but I had couldn't hold back a giggle as I watched the poor lady struggle to read the words her therapist wrote for her. It almost seemed like an SNL skit.
Sounds like the antithesis of empathy to me. More like juvenile bullying, laughing at someone's difficulties - "haha, look at the retard". Absolutely revolting behavior.
If you'd kept up on Gabby's condition over the time since she was shot, you'd know that her mental function is not impaired, only her speech and some motor control. She is fully capable of formulating these thoughts, and only has difficulty speaking them.
You're grasping at straws when you say a true victim of gun violence doesn't have a place at the table when discussing gun safety legislation.
