First, it doesn't matter if one or 100 million gay couples wanted to get married.
Next, every couple - gay or straight - makes rules for their coupling. Some women find their men looking at porn and they think it's a betrayal of their marriage. Others will watch with them.
Finally, monogamy is not a requisite for marriage. Sorry, but it's just not. Historically even, monogamy is only the duty of the woman, so that the man can ensure his offspring are his.
It's not even a grounds necessary for divorce in the era of no-fault divorce. Plenty of straight swingers, adulterers and philanderers agree.
I'm sure there are a number of straight swingers, adulterers and philanders, but this does not represent the majority of heterosexual married couples.
I have a question for you. Do you believe that people who would normally define themselves as heterosexual can become gay due to their environment or socialization patterns?
I'm sure there are a number of straight swingers, adulterers and philanders, but this does not represent the majority of heterosexual married couples.
What does a "majority" of anything have to do with civil rights? The whole point is to protect the rights of the minority who may view marriage differently than you and your bible.
[quote=logline;28847948]Now see? You just went "full bigot" there. Everybody knows you never go "full bigot".
I can cite numerous studies which back up my statement that promiscuity is rampant amongst many gay men. Stating certain facts, does not make me a bigot, I'm just bringing this to light.
Ok, here's another question, do you believe that people who engage in homosexual activity are gay?
I ask because there's a sizable number of incarcerated males in the U.S. who enter jail as heterosexuals, but are exposed to a lot of gay sexual contact (sometimes as a result of rape) while in prison. Upon their release, many of these males continue to engage in homosexual activity, however, they do not view themselves as gay, they view themselves as straight, because they have sexual relations with women as well.
Given the nature of this population, I'm led to believe that socialization and one's environment can indeed influence sexual preferences and activities.
The problem that gay people have is, the act of homosexuality is considered immoral and unnatural by most people throughout the world. Even those who support gay marriage, often state, "I support rights for all, but I'm opposed to homosexuality."
I suspect that as more young children are indoctrinated with hollywood movie celebs and entertainers who are gay, public opinion regarding homosexuality will shift. I don't however expect to witness the Supreme Court ruling positively on gay marriage during my lifetime.
Rather than challenge your assertion - and I think you would have a real problem proving what you said it true - I would suggest that what "most people around the world" think is irrelevant. It could be argued that most people around the world hate Jews in general and Israel in particular ... but that doesn't bother the Jewish people one iota.
LGBT people deserve equal rights whether or not people think they are "immoral" or "unnatural."
Now see? You just went "full bigot" there. Everybody knows you never go "full bigot".

We've seen your studies. What they fail to recognize is that a minority of gay men have a very high number of partners. The rate of promiscuity among MOST gay men actually mirrors straights:
There is only a one percentage point difference between heterosexuals and homosexuals in their promiscuity: 98% of gay people have had 20 or fewer sexual partners; 99% of straight people have had the same number. Tellingly, OkCupid found that it is just 2% of gay people that are having 23% of the total reported gay sex.
In a word, yes, many people had a sudden change of heart. Attitudes of the general public toward gays, gay rights, and marriage equality have changed faster than attitudes toward any political issue i can recall in my lifetime.
And they're not going back.
