Suck it up like the rest of Americans did when their FICA went back to 6%.
The kids won't starve because the USDA feeds them in school.
So growing children need ONLY TWO means a day, five days a week? Do you see the name "Bill Clinton" below?

"People like President Bill Clinton and then-Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich claimed they'd be doing welfare recipients a favor in the 1990s when they reformed the welfare program to impose work requirements and

make it more difficult for people to get benefits. The idea was that welfare recipients were just lazy and that their government checks were keeping them from working, making them dependent on the government.

When the reform legislation passed, with Clinton's signature, some people in the administration quit in protest, arguing that cutting off cash assistance for poor families would push millions of children into poverty. That didn't happen, at least not right away. But funding for the TANF block grant hasn't increased since 1996, meaning that in real terms, what the country spends to help poor families in the program has fallen 30 percent overall since welfare was "reformed," and benefit levels have fallen even more in some states that cut benefits after the financial crisis started in 2007. Not surprisingly, since 1996, the number of families with children living in extreme poverty—that is, on $2 a day or less—has gone up nearly 130 percent. "

CHART: Welfare Reform Is Leaving More In Deep Poverty | Mother Jones

If you have the COURAGE you should want to look at the chart in this study by CBPP in the link. The FACT is that the poor and people living in poverty has in fact been "sucking it up" since 1996. NOBODY lives in luxury on $2 a day.

They do not cover things like diapers, personal hygiene products, laundry supplies, housecleaning products, nor any of the other long list of BASIC NECESSITIES people need to survive and maintain somewhat good health!

Why would you think that all these people on food stamps are in high school and qualify for the "free condoms" given out in high schools?

You do realize that most all of the working poor (meaning they have jobs but don't earn enough money to feed their families) qualify for food stamps.

You seem to be thinking in terms of that old stereotype the "welfare queen." Hey, Reagan has been gone for a LONG time now, and in fact, he's dead. Welfare was reformed in 1996, in case you haven't kept up with the times. That was about 17 years ago.

READ AND LEARN A FEW THINGS:

"A new report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) looks at cash benefits provided under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, commonly known as "welfare." It finds that the value of monthly cash benefits that make up the fragile safety net for the poorest families with children has continued to decline steadily since the program was "reformed" in 1996. Back then, benefits weren't exactly generous, but they did manage to keep a whole lot of kids out of really deep poverty. Today, those benefits are almost nonexistent. The lucky few who are able to get cash assistance aren't getting enough to pay rent or keep the lights on in most states, and the value of the benefits has declined precipitously since 1996—even more so since the recession started. According to CBPP, there is not a state in the country whose welfare benefits are enough to lift a poor single mother with two kids above 50 percent of the poverty line, or about $9700 a year. In many southern states, TANF doesn't provide enough money to get a poor family much above 10 percent of the poverty line. What's especially troubling about these figures is that, as CBPP reports, TANF benefits are often the only form of cash assistance poor families receive. They may be getting food stamps, which definitely help their situations, but you can't buy diapers or pay the rent with food stamps."

Planned Parenthood offers FREE birth control, including birth control pills. Most if not all of these people on food stamps, would qualify for FREE birth control from planned parenthood.

If people on food stamps were as desperate - as you make them out to be. Then explain why, these people have cell phones, cable, x-boxes, big screen tv's. Cable and cell phones require MONTHLY bills to be paid. If they are having such a hard time feeding their families, then they need to get rid of cable and their cell phone. Every person that I know, that are on food stamps....have cell phone, cable and internet.

We're already spending over $1 trillion a year in means tested programs to keep the poor living a middle class lifestyle.
Enough already.

Actually, you and your ilk should. European countries have the type of government services, (and taxes!) you all profess to want. So... when does the liberal charity to transport those people begin?

How about you try to come into the 21st Century and work on developing that severely withered compassionate aspect of yourself instead of feeding yourself a steady diet of that "guilt free" personal responsibility mantra which allows people to be proud of being as greedy, selfish, and self absorbed as they want to be.
Greedy? Selfish? Self-absorbed? That's the people who want something for nothing. That's not me. I, in direct contrast to the greedy, selfish, and self-absorbed, have earned my keep and provided the means for several others to do so, as well.

And the people would have to make a special trip TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD. That means extra money for gas, and either taking all the children or getting a sitter. If birth control pills were provided along with the food stamps benefit if the recipient asked for them, they could get their prescriptions filled at the grocery store pharmacy when they grocery shop.

The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) is an American non-profit think tank that analyzes the impacts of budget policies and promotes effective approaches to reducing poverty. It was founded in 1981, and is based in Washington, D.C. The Center describes itself as a "policy organization...working at the federal and state levels on fiscal policy and public programs that affect low- and moderate-income families and individuals.

While the CBPP claims to be non-partisan, journalists have characterized it as liberal or left of center.

The Center is supported by a number of foundations, including the FAR LEFT LEANING Annie E. Casey Foundation, the left leaning John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and the leftist Ford Foundation

People don't bother to actually follow the money.

There is no NON PARTISAN organization or think tank.

Better off just reading the governments raw numbers reports (when they provide them) and make up your own mind and read foreign news to really understand what is going on in America.

God forbid they should have to do the same things that those that work but take no welfare have to do.
And lug around all those kids you have because you were too dumb/irresponsible to go for birth control pills before you had them?
Oh, the horror that you can't just sit on your behind and have it all be delivered to you.
