Yes they should just bow down to the great Obama. He was elected and should get anything he wants with no opposition. If he walks by the house they should throw rose petals down in front of the king.

If filibusters were wrong for 220 years why did the democrats support them so strongly 8 years ago. They are just a bunch of phoney liars.

As per Biden when republicans were the majority, "you may own the field right now but you won't own the field forever" then Biden goes on to talk about the power grab.

Because they were never used for routine matters and rarely for purely political ends. Many things we once enjoyed are now gone because some people chose to abuse the privilege and ruined it for everyone else. This is another case in point.

I know. But, I like to keep the dems staitght when they say the repubs have held 500 "filibusters".

I don't think they know what a real filibuster is.

Both parties have been undemocratic in using them.

Now if one likes them, they should also want a 261 minimum vote requirement in the House (60%) to do anything. That should include appointing a House speaker, committe memberships, anything at all. At least they would not than simply be playing politics with the issue.

Dumb move. Remember, winds of change means one day Republicans will be the majority and then Democrats will regret having eliminated this rule.

What a bunch of garbage.
IF what you claim is so true, why didn't the repubs do it when they held both Houses of Congress under W. Bush?

Again, you prove how ignorant you are.

The republicans would be no less or no more vituperative and hateful towards the nation when they gain power again as they have proven themselves to be during this current administration..
Well maybe if he didn't appoint such liberally biased judges and found some of a more balanced position, he could have gotten some approved.
