When the economy collapses, having easily available and very abundant pot may be the best thing. It can help ease the hunger pains and keep the motivation level low. Hopefully the welfare class can be kept stoned and won't be too disruptive.
The trailer dwelling welfare class in our red counties prefer meth.
President Obama is not the leader of the federal government.
He is the leader of the executive branch.
With the power to sign executive orders at will.
You've got to give him credit for the stones to say it though. Now the question remains, did he suddenly decide to be honest or, is he pandering to some parts of the public to raise his dismal approval numbers?
Marijuana isn't equally dangerous, its less dangerous. With more medicinal qualities.
Obama could win back some of my support if he lifted the federal ban.
It is not for presidents to create or abolish laws. Congress would have to do it, and they will not. Presidents enforce laws, and when Mike Huckabee wins the White House the CO / WA pot party is over, because he will enforce the existing laws.

I don't smoke weed so I'm all for banning it. It's bad for people & we need to help those people get their acts together. Obama/Holder overturning those state laws legalizing Medical Marijuana out West, sending in Federal Agents to raid them, confiscate their property & freeze their bank accounts was fantastic progress.
So because YOU don't do it, and don't want to do it, you feel that others shouldn't be allowed to do so? There are plenty of other much more dangerous activities than smoking a little bud once in awhile. Be careful what you wish for. Perhaps, they will find an activity that YOU enjoy and seek to ban it!
