We have proven we can't drive cars without causing injury and damage. By your logic we should outlaw cars

We should just all live in a bubble and never venture out of our house given that logic.

Default President Obama says marijuana is 'less dangerous' than alcohol - but the drug is still off limits for Sasha and Malia

Didn't see another thread on this topic yet, but I would hope that alcohol is also off-limits to Malia and Sasha.

But finally the Tea Party and Obama agree on something, or will the TP change their view to avoid agreeing with Obama ........

crock bull crap you can take a couple of tokes on weed and achieve the same thing as having a beer or two..

alcohol is 10 fold worse than pot!!!! pot gives you a plateau buzz where you can not get any higher.. where as if you drink enough beers in a short period of time it will knock you on the ground. and as for the hard alcohol their is absolutely no comparison!!!! hard alcohol sends you to another galaxy!!! not to mention one can over dose on hard alcohol..!!! one cannot smoke your self to an over dose..

alcoholics are some of the worst drug addicts on the planet!!!

yes Obama is wrong!!!! pot is a way safer drug than alcohol.. period!!!! he didn't grow up with an alcoholic brother..

less people will drink hard booze and do other hard drugs if weed is legalized..

The long-term damage from alcohol is pretty well known but I'm not sure we have that level of knowledge of pot use. Both are legal in my state and I've done both but prefer alcohol. I would agree a stoned driver is less dangerous than a drunk one and the effort to criminalize weed was a complete failure.

Don't know much about marijuana, but have seen lots of human destruction cause by alcohol, so if it is no worse then in my book it is very bad and harmful just like alcohol. If I had my way neither one would be legal.

When you ban prayer in schools, or forbid people from expressing their views about gay marriage etc, YOU are having a problem with people living their lives as they see fit. Drug addicts become a burden for the rest of the society, so when you think its "freedom" to let people do what they want, it takes freedoms away from those who has to finance the damage. Freedom is great when enjoyed responsibly and without burdening others with cleaning up the mess.
