I don't know, it hasn't been going on long. Look how it went in CA......up and running and now closing shop. What is going to keep the drug cartel from cashing in on "pot shop".
Back in the day pot smokers knew they had to work for a living. Some in this generation think "society" owes them a living, so they can sit and smoke pot all day.
I guess we'll have to see. As to your second point, there is no question of how crazy the "entitlement mentality" is in today's society.

Are you talking about college kids or something? Most pot smokers I know are pretty well off and yes they have jobs. To some I know, pot is just an alternative to Xanax. It relieves their anxiety.
A more interesting part for me though, is that he also basically stated that he views cocaine and meth as "harder" drugs that there would be greater risk in legalizing.
I believe most of the public views marijuana as less dangerous than these drugs as well.
The question I have then is, if that is the view of his administration, how long before he realizes how absurdly hypocritical is it for the DEA to still classify marijuana on schedule I while cocaine and meth are on schedule II?
So in this article Patrick Kennedy admits he doesn't have much experience with pot yet we are to believe what he says.....too funny. Have you smoked pot or do you just rely on hearsay.

The Kennedy family made their fortune on illegal substances. Patrick Kennedy is trying to do the same by being a spokesman for anti-marijuana groups.
