most people that go to casinos are not gambling addicts..

most people that drink alcohol are not alcoholics.

most people that own guns are not gun fanatics.

most people that eat food aren't fat..

most people that smoke pot are decent hard working folk..

most people that drive cars are not reckless drivers..

most people..

Many people can get buzzed drinking a pint of micro-beer. I've known people who have gotten drunk from 2 beers of microbrew.

If you don't think alcohol is that bad, give your kid a vodka martini for breakfast.

What does a society that is tolerant of drug use look like to you?

I say this quite hypocritically...just looking around me.

A more interesting part for me though, is that he also basically stated that he views cocaine and meth as "harder" drugs that there would be greater risk in legalizing.

I believe most of the public views marijuana as less dangerous than these drugs as well.

The question I have then is, if that is the view of his administration, how long before he realizes how absurdly hypocritical is it for the DEA to still classify marijuana on schedule I while cocaine and meth are on schedule II?

He has tested both extensively.

People who believe that laws are for controlling what people consume or what they do with their bodies are very scary indeed.

Sorry for joining this debate late in the game, but my big problem with Obama's words is that, as usual, they're just that - words. Much as I hate to admit this, I've found him to be even less trustworthy than Clinton, and I would not be surprised one bit if he follows up this speech by ordering the DEA to clamp down in CO and WA.
