If one reads the nasty ignorant posts in this thread, one would be led to believe that is the case. The gist of the speech is to be open-minded and not stereotype people and to encourage an open-minded discussion.
So what is the response on this thread? Some truly ignorant, close-minded and bitter people claiming the Obamas are racists, that liberals are sooooo much stupider than RWNJs, that Michelle Obama is trying to infringe on private conversations (LOL), and that this is all simply outrageous! If the RWNJs spent half as much energy on positive goals and political objectives, as they do hating and denigrating others, they might actually get a candidate elected. And how many of these bitter nasty haters do you think have the unmitigated gall to call themselves Christians, even though they are totally clueless as to what that means?
The Obama's should be policing themselves and their friends. They don't seem to be doing that though.

The article says nothing about children reporting anyone, it simply says there is nothing wrong with speaking up within your family to inform them when they do something racist. I do that all the time with my parents.
