Dear lord, read your history. The Romans wrote over and over how bountiful Judea was. "We made the desert bloom" is oft-repeated by Israelis. And yes, they are an energetic people. But the land was hardly barren prior to 1948.

Revisionism does nobody good.

In the northern third that is quite true, But in the southern two thirds it was not, The southern two thirds required aqueducts to bring in water since the Romans didn't have the technology at the time to find and comprehend aquifers. Jews in the late 1800s brought agriculture to the southern two thirds to those who were basically herders and not farmers.

Its was actually Samaria that was green rather than Judea in Roman times.

Yes, that is their tactic. Fire from non-military civilian areas and when Israel artillery responds, claim the Israelis are bombing/shelling civilians. Cowardly Hamas. Come out in the open and fight like the brave men you claim to be.

Do you know how many civilians volunteered to host rockets, weapons or shelter fighters in their homes? Do you know how many private homes were used as access points to terror tunnels? You think in each case Hamas pointed AK-47s to people's heads? If so, you don't know Gaza...
All you are doing is making the tiresome, same old rationalizations for killing kids and old people and women and the disabled in so-called safe zones. You don't give a fig that they couldn't find a place to hide! Or you would admit that this is not right! Oh, and the kids voted for Hamas, right? If you were being bombed to bits by the Israeliis and your kids were dying, would you support Israel? I think not.

And you never even bothered to address the wildly disparate numbers of Palestinians killed and maimed as opposed to Israeliis. This is how poor your attitude is. If it mattered, you'd say something.

You are avoiding my entire point! This is not about whether Hamas built tunnels. It is about children and old people being bombed with no where to go. Oh, blame the Gazans for everything. Every bomb that hit the kids, blame the Palestinians. You don't have to feel bad now.

nobody is blaming the children. but the government of gaza is responsible for the innocent casualties on its side. you cant expect to get away with attacking a nation and have that nation not respond. i think israel was irresponsible with the lives of its soldiers in the ground invasion. they should have just bombed the crap out of gaza. would more civilians have been killed? sure. but israeli soldiers lives are the responsibility of israel, not the foreign civilians that are being put in harms way by their leaders.

I have read my history, thank you very much. All one has to do to see how barren the land was prior to Israeli statehood, is to simply look at pictures. That should be more up your alley.

These children and old people welcome terrorists into their homes. Terrorists are allowed to slip in and out of homes, mosques, schools, etc. Im sorry, but if you launch rockets at civilians in Israel, then take off your mask and hide amongst friends and family, they deserve death, too. And half the time, these kids that you love so much, are out there throwing stones and home made bombs at IDF soldiers who are simply standing there. Its CONSTANT antagonization by terrorists and punk kids. If Palestinians really want to live in peace, they would cough up the terrorists, promote peace, stop harassing soldiers, and quit shooting rockets at civilians. And for petes sake, they need to quit being such freaking babies! When you kidnap and kill 3 soldiers, dont cry foul when the hammer falls.

Tell the "Palestinians" and Hamas and Hezbollah to come out and fight like MEN. Tell them to sack up and meet the IDF on the battlefield, not hiding amongst families. Lets see who will come out on top then. Send those cowards straight to hell.

And you are avoiding the root cause. If Hamas doesn't use tunnels to infiltrate Israel to commit terrorist attacks, and if they don't fire missiles into Israel using civilians as human shields, there would be no bombing from Israel, and no one hurt.
