NINE investigations just to retiterate again and again and again that the CIA changed the talking points? NINE investigations, when the first eight yielded no evidence of wrong-doing on the administration's part? For what purpose do we need NINE investigations on this, when the 9/11 commission had one and it was finished in a matter of months? And that incident killed a thousand times more people, yet there was only ONE investigation for that.

Oh, we all know why we have NINE investigations on this one incident. We know and you know. And now Kevin McCarthy admitted it as well.

The committee's true purpose has never been in doubt for anyone who has watched objectively. This "investigation" has already lasted longer than the 9/11 hearings and the GOP has scheduled them to drag on right through 2016, even though the previous eight "investigations" yielded nothing.

Finally, a Republican admits the truth of what the Benghazi investigation is really about.

Today's GOP--wasting money, wasting time--they are a waste of space.
He's right. The GOP is pretty damn pathetic. Big overly sensitive babies. They'd rather create fake scandals than tout their own plans and history of success...that's right, they don't have any plans and no history of success.

As a matter of political practice, McCarthy's comments are the most maladroit I've seen in a long time. In ten seconds he undermined years of work by Republicans in general, and Trey Gowdy in particular. He'll need much better political skills if he's to be a success as speaker.

If the White house and Hillary didn't LIE there wouldn't be a need for 9 investigations.

This wasn't a mistake it was honesty and definitely a shot at extreme right wing in his party, he admitted what everyone already knew, no revelation.

Only about 20 people actually beleive that this other than political, Gowdy, a few congressmen and some CD posters.

Yeah...except for that little fact that the first eight investigations revealed no wrong doing by either Clinton or the administration. But hey, if you can't complete your smear in eight investigations, just keep having more of them until you accomplish your goal, right?

Writer Michael Kinsley’s once observed that a gaffe occurs when a politician tells the truth — some obvious truth he isn’t supposed to say. McCarthy let the cat out of the bag.

This smear campaign is going to cost the taxpayers more than $6 million before they're done. "Fiscal Conservatives" sure have no qualms about wasting our money as long as it allows them to achieve their political goals.

Hahaha! Can you believe he said that? I'll bet Boehner is laughing his a$$ off right now.

I'm unclear - is 'untrustable' a real word?

What a dumb a$$.

Waste of time and money? What are congressional committees for other than fact finding investigations? The problem with any hearings during the Obama administration is the witnesses and facts get swept under the rug by democrats. Look up some of them on YT and hear idiots like Cummings halfway apologize to one being questioned. The murder of a US ambassador means nothing yet the killings of thugs takes precedence over all. We have strayed far as a nation.

Hillary doesn't have to comply because Holder won't make her. If it was a republican he would burn that person at the stake while Obama poured gas on the wood.

SCOTUS rules in favor of liberals and would do so in the cases of BENGHAZI and/or emails.

I'm gonna read some Mark Levin this week to ease my mind.
They have had 8 hearings on Benghazi. It's been more investigated than Watergate. And the Republican morons have spent MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars on . . trying to bring Hilary down. We all knew it and it has been confirmed by the new Speaker of the House.

I liked Kevin McCarthy in the original 1956 Invasion of The Body Snatchers. He looks a little older now.

Don't fall asleep, Kevin. Don't fall asleep.
