I sincerely want to know. When two men (or women) would be married, what do they refer to each other as? One is husband and the other wife? Two husbands? Something different?

Just an honest question out of curiosity.
Who says there has to be a husband and wife?
That is a religious concept. Marriage predates that.

That depends on the couple. Some people call each other partners, some refer to their SO as their husband/wife.
Hubwife and Wusband? Haven't heard those before. I don't think I personally would mix gender-based monikers unless the person in question was transexual, and even then it might be considered offensive.
Okay, I need to go. I'm obviously out of my league and certainly out of my comfort zone. Thanks for the info--
I've said it before and I'll say it again: We live in the United States of America. It's a nation that embraces freedom of speech and freedom of expression (ostensibly, anyway). Therefore, we ALL waive the right to be comfortable all the time. Your comfort zone, with all due respect, really doesn't concern me all that much. I, for one, embrace the right to be free and occasionally uncomfortable with someone else's lifestyle or opinion or worldview.
nothing. it will make marriage stats go up for sure. however, birth rate will fall.
