How about just protesting without the burning.
So can lit cigarettes, disposed of carelessly. I haven't seen anyone propose jailing smokers.

This is not a public safety issue, please do not try to frame it as such.

Okay. Another good point.

This, I can accept.

I have been polite to you, and I don't appreciate it when you call me a liar.

good argument, but the bold makes you sound like a drama queen.

Who on the supreme court would "deny the free speech rights of a person burning the flag in protest" ?

I agree with the bold by the way, but I am also saying there are a lot of flag burners who are true terrorists. How do you deal with them? I don't know.
I don't think you deal with them by attacking freedom of expression. Most recent home-grown terrorists have flown under the radar. They certainly haven't broadcast their intentions by burning a flag.

So why didn't Hillary buy the election? She spent almost double what Trump spent.

I'm sorry, I edited my remark before you posted your reply, as it seemed "framing" was a more accurate term. It was not my intention to accuse you of lying. However, to imply that the primary objection to flag burning is one of safety seems a bit less than realistic.

As for the bold, that's how I usually highlight the portion of a quote that I want to address. Do you have a better suggestion?

Luckily all of those who did vote for that are now gone but I certainly wouldn't be surprised that if the case was heard today that the vote would not be unanimous now either.
