No surprise that women are against something that evens the playing field regarding MEN being able to have some rights when it comes to children he does or does not want.
Men have a right, a right to be responsible. If a man want kids they should marry a like minded woman, if they don't want kids they should make sure that they don't get a woman pregnant. But to think that men should have a right to forbid a woman from having an abortion? That's just nuts. How about a law requiring your wife's permission before you have a vasectomy?
Rape or not, he doesn't get an equal say because there is nothing equal about pregnancy.
The father has no say because he is not risking his health, his very life, by carrying a pregnancy to term. When it comes to pregnancy, the father has no rights until AFTER the birth.
Sorry dear, "we" are not pregnant, only the woman is pregnant and it is up to her, and her alone, to decide if she wants to carry the pregnancy to term. That's not emotion, that is cold, hard FACT.
On the other hand, what if the husband wants the wife to abort? Should he get the deciding vote then?

Actually in many cases drs do require a man to have his wife's permission for a vasectomy. As for the other, what matters is that men get some say and accidents do happen.

No, how about a law that says a wife can decide her husband has to get a vasectomy, whether he wants one of not? It's her decision.....even though it is not her body.

And what is "some say" exactly?
He gets to force his wife to carry the pregnancy against her will?
He gets to force her to abort against her will?
Only one person can have the deciding vote......and that vote goes to the person who has to do all of the suffering and take all of the risks.....the woman.
Do you think a wife should be able to make a husband's medical decisions for him? He has no say? If he gets sick, she will decide what medical treatment he will or will not get? He has NO say in the matter?
Deciding whether or not to carry a pregnancy to term IS a medical decision. No different than a man deciding, for example, whether or not he wants to treat a heart condition with medicine or surgery. If the husband says no, I want to try the medication, the wife doesn't get to override his decision and tell the doctor to go ahead and operate anyway.
How would you feel if your wife had the power to force you to undergo surgery against your will?
Absolutely disgusting. Just as bad as states that give rapists parental rights and force their victims to interact with them.
