Pretty much what I've said from the beginning - the word MUST is treated differently from SHOULD/MAY.

The NFL has also said it won't fine/punish the kneelers/fisters & they don't care if they show up for the National Anthem or not.

It doesn't matter, toothpaste is way out of the tube - now they have just a big yucky pile of toothpaste.
Yep one that el presidente causes by his big mouth on the Twitter machine.

No they stayed in the locker room to not divide the team like America is. These are almost verbatim to what Coach Tomlin said in his usualpress conference.

Like most things that are fiery and divisive these days, Trump just pours gallons upon gallons of fuel on the fire on these topics. The guy is such a divider.

He could try to be respectful and just acknowledge the difference in opinion and say that everyone is entitled to their free speech. As the President of the US, he has a responsibility to be careful in the way he speaks (there is no distinction between Trump the citizen and Trump the President).

Instead, he says things like this:

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...80282224525312

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...80538755846144

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...37003923005440

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...04261553950720

This is a very fine line he is walking, and I believe he's getting close to inappropriate language.

Dis-Respecting the United States Flag and National Anthem IS "his business" (it's also US Code) -- I just hope he doesn't go hog wild and start calling Police Officers "stupid".

He's also a great agitator and plays a fantastic victim. That's why people voted for him.

it was not a unanimous decision to stay in the locker room. So it sounds like the team was divided as well.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin fails the leadership test

It is a conservative rag column, any proof that Tomlin didn't do this? Hey if I could cite HuffPo or CNN and it is hostile, why not the Washington Examiner?

Two things:

Do people forget these professional athletes are still human beings with emotions, opinions and views? They were "normal" before they became pro athletes, FYI. Pro athletes have the ability to bring more attention and money to causes they and regular people care about, and bring more attention to those matters than any normal person could.

Do Trump supporters forget that they voted for Trump because, despite being "privileged", he could relate to issues of the regular guy ()?

Talk about moving goalposts, but what else is new.
Don't forget they also should be "grateful" as if they didn't work hard and earned their positions. If all of them don't leave the NFL entirely, I hope enough of them will be motivated to start their own league. NBA too. I think Alt-League has a nice ring to it
