It's a matter of proportionality, something that a disturbing percentage of firearm owners seem to throw out the window once there's a chance to somehow come up with a justification to, as it is so nicely put, "drop someone due to lead poisoning".
And there's a disturbing group of apologists that allow these dirtbags to continue victimizing everyone else.

Yes. Yes, it rather was. But envisioning arguments that you can actually counter - rather than the ones you're met with - probably feels good, so you've got that going for you. Which is nice.
