Kids will inevitably be injured by rocks. Injured.

Still better than killed.

Where are the rocks gonna be kept? If students don’t have easy access they won’t have time to use them

If they do have easy access to the rocks, I’m sure the chances of those rocks causing deaths or injuries will be much higher than a mass shooting.

This is only better than the hide under the desk idea. So, is the idea to arm the kids with an inferior weapon while still fighting the idea of any of the school staff being armed? I admit I didn't read the article. There's just way too much stupid going on.

“At one time I just had the idea of river stone, they`re the right size for hands, you can throw them very hard and they will create or cause pain, which can distract,” said Helsel.
Helsel says teachers, staff and students were given active shooter training through a program known as ALICE which stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate and they routinely hold evacuation drills for active shooter simulations.
But if a teacher decides to lockdown a classroom, there are rocks in a five-gallon bucket kept in every classroom closet that students could throw if shooters get inside.
Still, Helsel says the rocks are seen as a last resort."

So; what do you think? It is only a small part of their plan - but I think it would empower students that would otherwise feel helpless.
When you have to rely on a bucket of rocks ( which could describe most politicians and anti gun fools ) school security failed or was never provided.
You made the biggest mistake by attending that school. So rock out with your **** out, as they say, and good luck.
