Their choice. Those paying taxes pay childcare.

Plus you said family of 4, the other spouse can work.

Charity worked well during Great Depression.

Family and friends can assist also. Surely, they must know someone who actually w-o-r-k-s!

You can’t compare times back then and needs back then to right now. My parents have work in the social services industry for 35 years now and I’ve seen that there are limitations and just how much private charity can help out. If we get rid of things like food stamps soon they’ll be calling for taking back government subsidies as well for these charities.

Not get rid of, require work to be 10x the handout. Similar to unemployment comp-and those people collecting it worked.

Great job market. However, a large portion of the USA has a lousy work ethic.

True, they have too solid a work ethic to consider that.

You’re missing my point. Daycare is expensive and often takes up more than someone is earning or one parents whole paycheck. Not everyone has the luxury of having family or friends he can watch a child for free. People should not be penalized because it’s better financially for them to stay home then go to work

Working people should not subsidize Welfare Mamas choices.

10x would be a fair requirement.

Welfare Mama can stay home even under a 10x rule. Just not under the wallet of those working.

How old are you, Bob? I have an idea, but would certainly hate to assume.
