Tucker Carlson just ran a video montage of propaganda media spouting the DNC phrase of the day: "Manufactured crisis."

Media shills are too stupid to think and report on their own.

If Trump caved on the government shutdown now without the wall he'd never get it. He has the leverage right now. The Democrats promised to secure the border after the 1986 amnesty but they didn't. How many times does it have to be explained to you and yours that the GOP cannot approve a funding bill all on their own without the Democrats?

Did you tell Schumer and Obama among other Democrats who approved of the actual wall bill back in 2006 that it was a waste of money? Do you know better than congress, the Border Patrol and Homeland Security? I have posted several links proving that the good walls do work and are cost effective when you compare it to the over $100 billion a year that illegal immigration costs us. Liberals have brick walls for brains.

What leverage does Individual 1 have? He has exactly no leverage.

This shutdown is showing the world who conservatives really are. Let them keep on doing their thing.

So rather than put the blame squarely where it belongs (people living beyond their means, paycheck to paycheck, on credit, no clue how to budget, no emergency fund, etc.) it's put on a president who had nothing to do with these people's complete lack of planning and preparedness

What a sad state of human affairs.
Really? Really?

Not everyone is willing to launder money for Russian oligarchs to achieve financial security.

I realize that's your and every other right winger's wet dream but it's simply not going to happen. We elect our government and we want them to do our bidding and protect us from things like unscrupulous bankers, heavy polluters, unfair work practices, etc. Being left to the whims of corporatists is not an option.

Trump has zero leverage and he knows it. You know it too but you can't admit it. He's toast on this issue. Again, your links prove nothing. Saying it over and over won't make it true.

You can tell who has the least leverage in a standoff by who is wailing and whining the most. In this case, the Dems and liberal media are in full-on desperation about the shutdown as if the balance of humanity depends on resolving it before Friday.

And what exactly would be accomplished by kicking the can a few steps down the road. We would have just been having the current standoff a month or two later.

So, in your wisdom, can you explain why Trumps numbers are tanking? His Disapproval spread went up by about 20% - pretty quickly. If you look a the chart you see a big move in one direction.

Explain?? A chart like that means that he is hurting himself and his party - along with all of us and the Federal Workers.

https://fivethirtyeight.com/

12.7% difference right now - effectively means that 28 million plus more Americans disapprove than approve. The number is UP from in the 10.5% range just a couple weeks back.

28 Million - a BIG number. I'm sure you'd agree on that much (12.7% of approx. 220 Million American Adults)
