This bill isn’t a place to be demanding the wall. Just pass the spending bill and move on. GOP has full control for two years and didn’t approve the wall. People really think they actually want it? Of course not, they all think it’s a waste of money, they only say otherwise because they’re playing the game of politics and have nothing to lose by going along with it.
If Trump caved on the government shutdown now without the wall he'd never get it. He has the leverage right now. The Democrats promised to secure the border after the 1986 amnesty but they didn't. How many times does it have to be explained to you and yours that the GOP cannot approve a funding bill all on their own without the Democrats?
Did you tell Schumer and Obama among other Democrats who approved of the actual wall bill back in 2006 that it was a waste of money? Do you know better than congress, the Border Patrol and Homeland Security? I have posted several links proving that the good walls do work and are cost effective when you compare it to the over $100 billion a year that illegal immigration costs us. Miss one paycheck -> no money for anything and need to quit to work elsewhere
So rather than put the blame squarely where it belongs (people living beyond their means, paycheck to paycheck, on credit, no clue how to budget, no emergency fund, etc.) it's put on a president who had nothing to do with these people's complete lack of planning and preparedness

We elect our government and we want them to do our bidding and protect us from things like unscrupulous bankers, heavy polluters, unfair work practices, etc. Being left to the whims of corporatists is not an option.

Trump has zero leverage and he knows it. You know it too but you can't admit it. He's toast on this issue. Again, your links prove nothing. Saying it over and over won't make it true.

So, in your wisdom, can you explain why Trumps numbers are tanking? His Disapproval spread went up by about 20% - pretty quickly. If you look a the chart you see a big move in one direction.
Explain?? A chart like that means that he is hurting himself and his party - along with all of us and the Federal Workers.
12.7% difference right now - effectively means that 28 million plus more Americans disapprove than approve. The number is UP from in the 10.5% range just a couple weeks back.
28 Million - a BIG number. I'm sure you'd agree on that much (12.7% of approx. 220 Million American Adults)
