Cardi B had a rant about poor spending priorities of NYC government. She actually made some good points. I heard it on the Ben Shapiro show.
You mean this one where she sounds pretty concerned about wardrobes for prisoners? Really nothing of substance here. She wants receipts, great, lets all anoint her as the next Rhodes Scholar...see what happens when Trump sets the bar so low? Even trash like her looks good.
The democrats don't want to negotiate. They have no rational reasons for not wanting to negotiate. Instead, they have an irrational reason --- they hate Trump.
They have a very rational reason not to negotiate. They had a deal and Trump backed out. Trump said that he wanted to own the shutdown. He doesn't want to budge on his demand. Might as well let him twist in the wind on this issue as he is getting most of the blame. Like with a child, sometimes they have to learn that they can't always get their way.

This may lead, long term, to more limited government.
I don't think it will lead to anything like that. Those who are furloughed will get their jobs back and get their money eventually. But I'm sure it doesn't hurt for you to dream.
