I would expect Trump to say no. One reason I'm not voting for that rat the next coming election.

You asked why black Americans don't get reparations. The answer is that only direct survivors get reparations - not descendants (and certain,ya not descendants four and five generations removed).

And my point was that blacks don't need reparations to enjoy a middle-class life. They need to work hard, take advantage of the free educational opportunities available, don't have babies before marriage, and it's done. There was plenty of discrimination against Jews, and they made it. So blacks can make it as well.

I don't care what your point is. The point, if other groups are getting them, then what Black Americans have gone through, considering the magnitude of it, they should have been able to get them in the first place. This is not whether or not Black people could live middle class without them. You're sidestepping the point.

And something else. Germany pays those reparations, not the USA. And the descendants of those who survived the internment camps were able to get reparations. If those who weren't in the camps could get them, why not Black Americans?

Something else. At least your relatives were able to come here with the hope of doing better. My ancestors didn't have they option. They didn't get a say in whether to come or not. They were brought here under duress and basically treated like prisoners for about 200 years.

Well if you don't care what the point of my post was, as you dismissively say, then why should I post again to answer you?

Fine, be like that. By the way, I said I didn't care because you were basically sidestepping my point.

Sorry, it will be given to a black person whose ancestors came here a hundred years after slavery was ended.

Welfare is not reparations. Anyone can get welfare.

This is how I see it. Black people didn't come to America on their own volition. Blacks are the only group who came here wtih absolutely no say in the deal. They didn't immigrate here. They didn't come here as indentured servants. They came as basically permanent captives. And their descendants would be born as slaves. At least 200 years of slavery. Japanese-Americans can get reparations and an apology. And don't give me that crap about "well, the ones who should get them are dead". The heirs of those imprisoned got them. Why not Black Americans?

No one that was harmed, is alive today.
Give me back my forefathers land. I don't want money!!
I want back the 400 million acres, stole from my ancestors.

Perpetual victimhood. Without it, the Democrat Party would not exist.
Democrats create victims.

Not that reparations will ever happen, but just in case, the following groups are exempt:

From contributing:

1) All whites whose ancestors arrived here after 1865
2) Any whites who earn less than $50,000 ind or $100,000 Joint

That's probably 75% of the country right there.

From receiving:

1) Any blacks who earn more than $50,000 ind or $100,000 joint
2) any blacks whose ancestors arrived post-1865
3) Any blacks whose ancestors themselves owned slaves
4) Any blacks who were admitted to college under the lower affirmative action standards (they already received a form of reparation)

Finally, any black receiving reparations must submit to a quarterly drug test.

Fair?
