It absolutely matters when you can see all the lady bits. Not sure how this is being misunderstood? And tight? Is the fashion statement. So the smaller the better.
What I am saying is properly fitting leggings show neither lady bits nor butt cracks, and are not see through at all.
I'm in a gym 5 days a week, and the majority of women in leggings wear them correctly, not see through when doing squats, no camel toe - nothing improper. I am not fond of the skin toned ones that are popular now, but that is a personal preference.

They most likely have spandex in them, which makes the material denser and thicker, and ... these women are at the gym. Perfectly reasonable place to be wearing clothing of this sort.
I'm not talking about athletic wear in an athletic setting.

Wearing it outside of the gym doesn't automatically make it crawl up your bum and produce insta camel toe.
If you see someone at the store in them, you have no idea if they came from the gym, or are just running errands.

Nobody thinks you're flaunting yourself if you have a long top covering your butt. And btw... nobody going to respect your opinion when you use words like "mansplain".
I don't object to leggings, especially when worn by someone attractive.
What I do have a problem with is women wearing them to attract attention, then gossiping pejoratively about the men who notice, who are also not up to their standards.

Don't feel bad, those who are more hostile to men use the term mangina when referring to a mans mouth.

Well obviously they should change into their cashmere and pearls like real ladies after sweating at the gym and before running into Publix for milk.
So much pearl-clutching over what women choose to wear. I wonder why there are no threads on men who wear wifebeaters or jeans that allow the waistbands of their tidy whities to stick out or ugly mullets. Or even better, the wifebeater and mullet with camouflage pants. Those make me roll my eyes, but I wouldn't whine about it in a letter to the town sheriff or whoever's job it is to monitor and advise the men on proper fashion.
