One could argue if it was Obama's actions that led to the great economy we are having nor or if was Trump's action with tax cuts until the cows come home, but the simple fact of the matter is this.
1. If on Nov 4, 2020 the economy is tanking they will blame Trump and not Obama and will throw him out.
2. On the other hand if the economy remains strong and unemployment is low, they will give the credit to Trump and not Obama's policies from the past, and reelect Trump.
If the economy tanks between now and Nov 4 2020. I think trump is finished. His base in the midwest will be the very first to receive pink slips from employers.
The OP’s argument boils down to Trump will win due to the economy and the festering anger of his base.

WHAT DONT YOU GET about the fact that middle America doesn't want to see illegal aliens given priority over law-abiding citizens? That Democrats shouldn't be promising benefits for illegals as a way to win the election? Or that the liberals' tired old tactic of accusing half the country of being racist will backfire?

I didn't vote for Trump in 2016, but it is highly likely I will vote for him in 2020 if he's the Republican presidential nominee. I typically don't vote along part lines, but the Democratic party has become certifiably insane. They are unapologetically the most hate filled, irrational bunch of morons ever to bear the name of a major political party. The peddle hate, racism, divisiveness, sexism and bigotry. Their platform has no relationship to actual facts. They spend all of their time pontificating, bloviating, and personally attacking anyone who disagrees with them. Truly disgusting. I don't want any of them anywhere near a position of power. I thought Buttigieg was going to be different until he starting snuggling up to Jesse Jackson.

If the Democratic bribes are policies that benefited everyone, then why are we so far in debt? But the politician themselves are multi-millionaires if not billionaires. Last I checked the reason the United States came to be is because they were sick of the British rule. Taxes, being told how to live their lives, have weapons, have a say in government...you know the things that contribute to independence.

Something else to think about too is (and after quite a bit of thought, said this about Obama too) that a president needs an outlet to decompress. Be it golfing, playing another sport, running etc. It's proven that exercise releases endorphins, in turn releases stress.

Agreed. Trump said those criticisms before he was sworn in, rash statements made by someone who had never stood in the president's shoes before. But once he was sworn in, and the pressures of office came to bear, he realized how much golf can serve many purposes as president; one of them being to unwind, relax and recharge your batteries.
